The Biggest “Powerful Interest”

powerful interest

Over at Weasel Zippers, Zip posted a video of Hillary Clinton bemoaning that “we have just too many guns — on the streets, in our homes, in our neighborhoods.”

I don’t know why Hillary thinks she’s the grand arbiter of how many guns is too many guns, but Liberals always like to be the Nosy Parker Hall Monitors making sure we don’t have too much Liberty. After all, remember Obama saying “At some point, you’ve made enough money.”

But the thing that struck me about this stupid clip was what Hillary said after that:

“And when it comes to guns? We have just too many guns — on the streets, in our homes, in our neighborhoods. And … you know there’s been a lot of talk in this campaign … in the primary campaign about … uh … the power of certain interests in our country. And we do have a bunch of powerful interests … make no mistake about it. But there is no more powerful lobby than the gun lobby.”

What a wretched bitch.

You know what we have too much of Hillary? Government.

Listen. You wanna talk about the biggest “Powerful Interest,” let’s talk about the all-intrusive Federal Government that seeks to insert itself into every aspect of our daily lives — from what we eat, how much of our own money we can keep, where are children go to school, what they are taught in school, the racial make-up of our neighborhoods, what kind of health insurance we buy, what words we can say, whether or not we can practice our religious faith outside of church. You name it. The Federal Government is the all-too powerful interest that has been having its way with sovereign individuals for far too long.

Nothing on this planet has more power than the United States Federal Government. It has power that it was never, ever supposed to have.

Compared to the Federal Government, the NRA are a bunch of pikers.

What Hillary fails to comprehend is the National Rifle Association isn’t some nameless, faceless entity separate and apart from actual human beings. The NRA members are people like me, people like you. People who want to make sure that this powerful interest known as the United States Federal Government does not run roughshod over our Liberties and our Second Amendment Rights.

If it weren’t for the NRA — including people like me, people like you — this intrusive, all-powerful government would dispense with the Second Amendment and strip us of our right to keep and bear arms.

It is none of Hillary Clinton’s damn business if I own guns. She has no more right to stick her busybody nose into my house and cluck her tongue at me for owning guns than Michelle Obama has the right to dictate what food children eat at school.

When Leftists like Hillary demagogue about “powerful interests” what they never seem to grasp is the reason we have to have groups like the NRA fighting for us is because the Federal Government has gotten too big and too powerful for individual Americans to stand up to on their own. When you have an Environmental Protection Agency wanting to regulate the puddle in your backyard and prevent you from building on your own property to keep you from harming this “navigable water,” that is having too much power.

So while she bitches and complains about “powerful interests,” you will never hear Hillary say one negative thing about this all powerful, over-reaching centralized government that has so far exceeded the limits put in place by our Constitution as to no longer even be the system of government our Constitution outlines.

This woman is dangerous. Her arrogance beyond measure.

We the People are being crushed under the boot of this all powerful interest known as the US Federal Government. And I thank God every day for organizations like the National Rifle Association for standing up for us and doing what they can to get the boot of this tyrannical government the hell off our necks.

Amazing, isn’t it? A woman who felt it necessary put in place a home-brew email server to hide her official communications from public scrutiny really does believe it is the government’s business to stick its Nosy Parker nose into our business and decide for us if the guns we own are “too many guns.”

Have I mentioned lately that I really despise this venal bitch?

Most people think of a “lobby” as a handful of people or businesses who contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars for high powered lawyers to represent their monetary interests in the legislature.
The gun “lobby” represents millions upon millions of gun owners who might contribute $25 or, perhaps nothing at all, but are willing to cast their votes for or against lawmakers who could affect their fundamental freedoms.

Hillary fears the power of informed citizens who vote.
