Countertop Jesus says running for President is his charitable giving

Countertop Jesus says running for President is his charitable giving

When it comes to charitable giving, it doesn’t surprise me that Democrat politicians are so stingy with their own money.

But I have to admit, I am impressed by the lengths some of them will go to justify their lack of charity.

Case in point, Robert Francis O’Rourke.

The guy is married to a billionaire heiress.  You’d think he’d cough up a lot by way of charitable giving.

But no.

He doesn’t.

In fact, in 2017, the O’Rourkes donated just 0.3% of their income to charity.

And when asked by a student in Charlottesville, Virginia as to why his charitable giving is so anemic, the man of the Countertops said this:

“There are charities that we’ve donated to that we’ve recorded and itemized, others that we’ve donated to that we have not. I’ll tell you, I’m doing everything I can right now, spending this time with you, not with our kiddos, not back home in El Paso, because I want to sacrifice everything to make sure that we meet this moment of truth with everything we’ve got.”

Really?

So, Robert’s idea of charitable giving is running for President.

Yes, his very presence on the campaign trail, on countertops and on television is a huge sacrifice.  He’s sacrificing everything for us.  You see, there’s nothing in it for Beto. Not one thing.

Nope. This is a big sacrifice for him.

Good grief.

I’m kind of embarrassed for the guy.

Does he even understand what charitable giving means?

I mean, who in his right mind would think of citing his Presidential campaign as proof of his charitable spirit?

He’s running to be President of the United States; he’s not on a mission trip for crying out loud.

I haven’t seen this level of mind-numbing hubris since Barack Obama descended from the heavens to beat back the rising oceans and heal the planet.

Seriously, is every Democrat candidate running a Campaign of Cringe?

he’s probably so convinced of the shit coming out his mouth that his 2019 tax returns will have all his campaign spending deducted as a charitable donation

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Or the definition of psychosis. This punk thinks he’s the white Obama. Kameltoe Harris thinks she’s the female Obama. Booker thinks he’s Obama V2.0. They all think they can become president while doing absolutely nothing. They really are divorced from reality.

Beto manages to totally pervert the notion of public service with his selfish and childish understanding of the word charity. The mindset required to actually believe this bullshit is scary.

As to who will win the democratic nod for president is up in the air but there are a whole slew of candidates on the left who are so out of touch with the main stream that they will need a map to find the majority of the population who consider their political positions to be a farce.

Perhaps this rabid left wing approach in the coming election cycle is a reaction to the conservative Trump. Much like 1984 and the nomination of Walter Mondale to run against Reagan, this far left outburst seems to fit with the times today.

Robert Francis was an empty suit before, now he’s just a cadaver waiting to be buried.
