Rush Limbaugh likes to say that the Left will tell you whom they fear by whom they attack. If that is true, then apparently the Left is flat-out terrified of the prospect of a Cruz-Fiorina Administration.
Personally, I think there is no better endorsement of a Cruz-Fiorina ticket than their being the target of over-the-top fearmongering from the likes of Planned Parenthood and Barbara “don’t call me Ma’am” Boxer.
Planned Parenthood was quick to release a doom and gloom statement the likes of which we haven’t seen since Bill Murray bellowed, “Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!!”
Calling Cruz and Fiorina “the most loathsome pair in America,” Planned Parenthood’s statement reads like it was written by Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton:
Fittingly, Senator Ted Cruz (who is also known for lying) believes her actions qualify her to help run a country. That’s no surprise, either: This is the same Ted Cruz who wants to ban abortion, has pushed shady campaign tactics, and embraced support from the most extreme and violent elements of the anti-abortion movement.
Wow. Talk about lying. Cruz wants abortion to be left up to the states. Though he has said on numerous occasions that he wants to change the hearts and minds of people regarding the sanctity of life, he has never said “Ban abortion!” Shady campaign tactics? Why does it not surprise me that Planned Parenthood is parroting the lies of Donald Trump — the Republican candidate Cecile Richards believes is most favorable of their butcher shop? And when exactly has Cruz “embraced” the most “violent and extreme” elements of the “anti-abortion movement?” That’s just flat-out stupid.
Dogs and cats living together!!! Mass hysteria!!!
But Planned Parenthood’s lies just kept up. In their fire and brimstone release, Planned Parenthood once again perpetrated the lie that Carly Fiorina lied about the contents of the undercover videos that exposed Planned Parenthood’s side business of profiting from the sale of aborted baby parts.
Who’s surprised? They’re Leftists. All Leftists believe that if you repeat a lie as fact often enough, you can convince people that it’s the truth.
Sure, I suppose Cruz and Fiorina could walk back their principled stand on life in order to appease the Feminazis, but there’s already one vacillating, malleable candidate in the Republican nomination race.
Meanwhile, over in Ma’am land, Senator Barbara Boxer also weighed in on the prospect of a Cruz-Fiorina ticket.
Slogan idea for the Cruz-Fiorina "ticket": "Mean & Meaner"
— Barbara Boxer (@BarbaraBoxer) April 27, 2016
Boxer especially hates Fiorina because Carly had the temerity to run against her in 2010. The nerve of the Republicans running a woman against “Ma’am.”
Cruz thinks Fiorina will help in California. Maybe he doesn't know Carly left after she lost by a million votes?
— Barbara Boxer (@BarbaraBoxer) April 27, 2016
What Ma’am Boxer fails to mention is that in the Republican Senate Primary in 2010, in a field of five candidates, Carly Fiorina received 56.4% of the Republican primary vote. She defeated her nearest competition by 34.7%.
Not only that, but in blue, blue, über-blue California, Ma’am Boxer didn’t defeat Carly in a typical Liberal-State blow-out. In fact, she only beat Carly by ten points. Yes, Carly lost. But you would think that an incumbent Leftist Senator from a far Left state like California would have won by far more than 10 points. For example, in über-blue New York, when Chuck Schumer ran for reelection in 2010, he defeated his Republican opponent by 33.4 points. And before Ma’am can claim that was only because Chuck Schumer was a man running against another man, let me point out that in über-blue New York when Senator Kirsten “Take Back the Night” Gillibrand ran against Wendy Long in 2012, Gillibrand defeated Long by 45.88 points — or by more than three million votes.
Given all that, Ma’am, I think it is a fair assessment to say that Carly’s presence on the ticket may very well be a boon to Cruz in the California Republican primary.
But what do you expect?
Like Rush says, the Left will always tell you whom they fear. And trust me, they fear Ted Cruz. Like Jimmy Carter was quick to point out a few months ago, “If I had a choice of Republican nominees, between Cruz and Trump, I think I would choose Trump – which may surprise some of you. The reason is, Trump has proven already that he is completely malleable. I don’t think he has any fixed opinion that he would fight for. On the other hand Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right-wing politics, in my opinion, that would be pursued aggressively if he wins.”
For the Left, the status quo must be protected at all costs. This is why they will do everything they can to prevent the Republicans from nominating someone who would actually fight the Liberal status quo. And, as they always do, Leftists like Planned Parenthood and Barbara Boxer will try to paint their enemies as being frothing-at-the-mouth loathsome meanies who would cause an apocalyptic disaster on the scale of dogs and cats living together and mass hysteria. What Leftists fear more than anything is the prospect of a President who “turns back the clock” on all the supposed “progress” the they have made in their not-so-silent conquering of America.
