Fire and Fury: Trump is a dangerous madman!!!!!!

You know, I have to admit, watching Liberals melt down over Donald Trump has become so entertaining, it’s better than having cable.

After the tubby little Pillsbury Doughboy threatened to deploy nuclear weapons in retaliation for the UN sanctions, President Trump didn’t mince words.

North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening — beyond a normal statement. And as I said, they will be met with fire, fury — and frankly power — the likes of which this world has never seen before.

Now, when I heard the statement, I smiled and nodded my head.

Darn tootin’!

America doesn’t just sit on its hands and make mewling, plaintive pleas about “diplomacy” and “cooperation.”

No. If you threaten us with nuclear weapons, we will stand up, stand tall and issue one unambiguous, no-nonsense response: Do it, and face the consequences.

It is also strategically logical.

China has run roughshod over the region for eight years.

Why? Because they knew they could.

Nobody was going to stop them – least of all President Obama.

By being unequivocal in his response, President Trump’s message is really more to China than to the Tubby Un.

Trump has made it clear: Rein this nut-ball in, or we will.

But naturally, Liberals are losing their minds.

After eight years of a President who did nothing to stop North Korea while he busily assisted Iran into become the next North Korea, I’m not surprised these morons are setting their hair on fire over what Trump said.

Obama liked to talk tough so long as he never had to follow through.

And I’m sure if Obama used fire and fury in a statement, they’d have squealed like proud stage-moms.

Because the Left knew Obama would never follow through on his tough talk.

And so did our enemies.

Could you imagine if these people were alive in 1940?

This is, in part, what Winston Churchill said about Britain’s conflict with Nazi Germany:

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.

You ask, what is our policy? I say it is to wage war by land, sea, and air. War with all our might and with all the strength God has given us. And to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy.

You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs – Victory in spite of all terrors – Victory, however long and hard the road may be. For without victory there is no survival.

Good grief, if the pundits on CNN and the anti-Trump ResistanceLOL celebrities were alive in 1940, they’d be apoplectic with rage.

”This is just TERRIFYING!!! That Winston Churchill is insane!!! I can’t believe he’s using such inflammatory language!”

”No serious Prime Minister would ever make such a public threat! Why, Neville Chamberlain would never have said things like that!”

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

We had our Neville Chamberlain.

And while North Korea developed its nuclear weapons program, our Neville Chamberlain did nothing.

Of course, he was busy. After all, he was paving the way for Iran to get busy on their own nuclear weapons program.

It is passivity that brought us to this point.

It is their beloved “diplomacy” that cleared the way for North Korea to become a nuclear power.

Donald Trump isn’t the warmonger here.

Kim Jong Un is the warmonger.

He is threatening our allies in the South Pacific. And he is threatening us.

And China won’t do a damn thing unless they know in no uncertain terms that we will.

I realize that Leftists believe that all human beings will act like angels if only we show “tolerance” and “love.”

But I live in the Real World.

Evil-doers aren’t placated by passivity. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Evil-doers will exploit passivity.

Just as Germany did with Neville Chamberlain.

Just as Iran has done with Barack Obama.

And just as North Korea did with the feckless and foolish Bill Clinton.

But the truth is, there is nothing new to the Left’s hair-on-fire meltdown.

I was in college in the mid-eighties. And I remember the near-constant hysteria over President Reagan’s nuclear proliferation in Europe.

I can’t count the number of times we were told by hysterical Chicken Littles that the sky was falling.

Reagan was going to usher in World War Three!

He was a warmonger!

I even remember those silly apocalyptic films of nuclear holocaust like “Testament” and “The Day After.”

The usual suspects who are howling and kvetching today were howling and kvetching in the exact same way about Ronald Reagan.

Their default has always been passivity and appeasement.

But they always seem to forget that passivity and appeasement are exactly how we got here.

So, no.

I don’t find anything alarming about President Trump saying that any attack by North Korea will be met with fury and fire.

In fact, it would alarm me much more if he, like Obama, said and did nothing.

Notice how the talk seems to have shifted from “not allowing NK to have nukes” to “don’t attack us or else.” It seems the President has reached the conclusion that we cannot stop NK from having nukes or the capability to attack us. That is a big change in the conversation about NK.

I don’t think China has near the persuasive influence over North Korea that we seem to think it has. In the last 20 years, China has worked to improve relations with South Korea — a policy which has caused a great deal of friction between Pyongyang and Beijing. True, China is NK’s biggest trading partner, but what will turning off the lights do? — They are off already. (https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=83182) Without a full naval blockade of NK, what China doesn’t give them NK can get from pariah states around the world (Iran, Pakistan, most of sub-Sahara Africa). Whether China or other nations obeyed or circumvented previous UN sanctions or will follow the new ones is meaningless to the situation in NK — putting aside the point that sanctions are easily violated without detection, the NK people are so dismally poor not because of past sanctions but because of NKs own communist economic programs and having only 20% arable land.

I think China believes the US is effectively stymied from using military action because of the proximity of Seoul to the DMZ. Seoul is the 16th most populous city in the world (nearly 30 million people) and directly under the umbrella of NK’s most important, powerful, and hardened military weaponry — artillery (land-based and sea-based). Some military analytics I’ve seen anticipate more than 500,000 rounds of artillery would hit Seoul in the first hour of a conflict. I’m sure China believes the US will not allow the civilian population of Seoul to incur tens or even hundreds of thousands of casualties. And besides, bombing NK back to the Stone Age is pointless — they’re there now.

I’m confident China would prefer a more temperate leadership in Pyongyang. But under current conditions, China does not want to see the NK regime collapse, due to the frightening potential of massive numbers of refugees (in the millions) crossing into Manchuria; people China would have difficulty caring for and who could destabilize a strategic region of China. This would explain why China has begun to deploy so many additional troops to the border area.

The only hope I see to prevent war is for the International Community to work with China not against China to persuade China that it should fear rogue actions against it by NK, and to develop a plan to help China deal with its fears (fear of refugees; fear of NK using weapons against China). Only then, I think, would China consider taking a more direct role in NK regime change; with nuclear disarmament an agreed upon outcome.

The Left only objects to our standing up to another Leftist country. The reason? They’re on the same team. Remember, their motto is “America Last.”
