It isn’t just RussiaGate; it’s MediaGate

scandal

Yesterday, the Conservative Treehouse featured a Fox & Friends segment with radio host Mark Levin that is well worth watching.

And in it, Levin points out that this is MediaGate.

No truer words have been spoken.

Now, that isn’t to dismiss the fact that members of the Obama Justice Department, FBI, and intelligence community have dirty hands in this mishegas.

They absolutely do.

But it was the craven and dishonest media that amplified and peddled the Obama Administration’s attempt to interfere with the 2016 election and undermine the duly-elected President.

I agree with almost everything there except one thing. These media hacks weren’t Useful Idiots; they were willing and enthusiastic participants in what is the single worse scandal in American history.

Like I said Saturday, with the possible exception of Rachel Maddow, every single one of these hacks knew they were peddling a lie.

Every major news media outlet – from the New York Times to the Washington Post to CNN and MSNBC – enjoyed a never-ending stream of anonymously-sourced “stories” and illegal leaks.

And rather than practice due diligence, they happily burped it all out for maximum damage.

It certainly didn’t help that CNN and MSNBC quickly put on the payroll so many members of Obama’s administration — James Clapper, John Brennan, Ben Rhodes, Josh Campbell (former assistant to James Comey), Jim Sciutto to name a few.

And, lest we forget, shortly before President Trump was elected, CNN also hired Valerie Jarrett’s daughter Laura – a lawyer with zero experience in journalism — to cover the Justice Department.

In light of MediaGate, the news media’s incestuous relationship with the Obama Administration makes a hell of a lot of sense, doesn’t it?

They gladly gave the perpetrators of RussiaGate a platform to peddle this Clinton-funded, Obama-enabled lie.

Even now, after RussiaGate has collapsed, they still go back to those duplicitous cretins.

But not just them.  The news media spent two years giving an outsized platform to Adam Schiff, Eric Swallwell, Ted Lieu, Maxine Waters and Jerry Nadler.  And this weekend, it was those same liars and conspiracy theorists that both CNN and MSNBC invited on to discuss the Mueller Report.

If the news media had even a sliver of professional standards, they would never let those lying charlatans utter a single word on camera again.

But they have no standards.

At the heart of MediaGate is this one truth: They went all-in on the Obama Administration’s attempt to oust the duly-elected President. And they did it with a song in their hearts.

In short, MediaGate exposed them as the partisan activists that they are.

And even now, even after being exposed, these charlatans refuse to own up to what they’ve put the country through.

This is from CNN’s “Chief Media Correspondent:”

A “mystery.” Whatever you say, Jessica Fletcher.

And what is the title of this column Brian Stelter wrote?

“After Mueller report findings, Team Trump plans to ‘slam and shame the media.’”

Ah, yes.  Brian’s twist on the old “Republicans pounce.”

See, Brian doesn’t see the media’s reckless, irresponsible “reporting” as the problem; instead, he thinks the problem is “Team Trump” planning to call attention to their reckless, irresponsible reporting.

And he scratches his head wondering why, oh why, did they “reward speculation over straight news” as if he had nothing to do with it.

Perhaps Brian should take those words to heart.

But he won’t.

Instead, he will continue binge-watching Fox News while anger-masturbating over everything Tucker Carlson says.

Because, in addition to being a clueless hack, Brian is up to his ample tits in MediaGate.

The whole rotten, stinking news media should be hanging its head in shame.

But that is never going to happen.

Instead one of three things will happen (or all three as the case may be).

1. They will move the goal posts.

2. They will pretend the past three years of innuendo, false reporting and wild speculation never happened.  Instead, they will lie and claim that they always acted responsibly and were only reporting the facts as they came out.

3. They will double down and defend their “reporting” by saying Trump himself is to blame for them believing he colluded with Russia.

What they will never do is apologize and change the way they report the news.

Because this wasn’t a media “mistake.”  That’s the point.  This wasn’t a “whoopsie;” they knowingly participated in a flagrant attempt to take out President Trump.

Now, today I have some work to do closing down the Dianny Tees print shop (AKA my dining room).  Until I sell my equipment, I want to box everything up, store it then clean up the room so it can go back to being part of my living space.  So I won’t be here in my office much today.

In the interim, I wanted to recommend a few great articles for you to check out.

First, Jason Beale has a terrific column at the Federalist that you must read.  “The Public Reckoning Over Russiagate Will Not Be Televised.”

There will be no public mea culpa from the media for two years of feverishly biased hyping of unfounded allegations that the president of the United States is engaged in treason and actively operating as an agent of the Russian Federation. Nor will we hear any indications of regret from the current and former Democratic politicians and intelligence community officials who initiated, distributed, and sustained those allegations through leaks, on-air commentary, or both.

Julie Kelly’s column “NeverTrump Complicity in the Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax” is also outstanding.

What the Trump-Russia collusion hoax has laid bare is that so many of the people who Republicans trusted and respected for two decades were undeserving. They are as fundamentally dishonest and intentionally ignorant as the those on the Left.

And then there’s this piece from Adam Mill over at the Federalist, “No, Barr’s Summary of the Mueller Report Does Not Support Trump’s Alleged Obstruction.”

Barr wrote, “After reviewing the Special Counsel’s final report on these issues; consulting with Department officials, our charging decisions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to established that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.” In making this determination, the attorney general noted that the president was “not involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference,” and that “the absence of such evidence bears upon the President’s intent with respect to obstruction.”

Allow me to translate. The president is guilty of obstruction the way an innocent person is guilty of being outraged by an interminable and intrusive investigation that leaves the stench of accusation in the air for two years.

Kurt Schlichter’s Monday column “Trump Russia Collusion Treason Was All Just Another Elite Lie” is both scorching and excellent (as most of his columns are).

General Mike Flynn got arm-twisted into pleading to lying even though the FBI agents who talked to him said he wasn’t lying while the Three Stooges Brennan, Clapper and Comey lied their lizard hearts out to Congress and … nothing. What about Felonia? Everyone knows that anyone of us doing a tenth of what that Looming Doofus Comey said she did right before he gave her a pass would still be making large rocks into small ones. Oh, and now Americans can rest easy knowing that our government is ready to face the menace of a PJ-clad Roger Stone with its SWAT teams.

Congrats. This whole fiasco has convinced Americans that there are two sets of rules in America, one for the elite and one for us, and that the justice system is just a scam designed to help the elite hold onto power by punishing those who would challenge its rule. That’s poison to a free country, which is probably okay with our scuzzy elite since it does not actually want a free country. It wants a happy-face dictatorship, and it wants to do the dictating.

Finally, there is this recap and some much-needed perspective from the always spot-on Sundance at Conservative Treehouse.  For the last two years, he has been the most informative source on the silent coup against President Trump.

In a sane world, Sundance would win a Pulitzer Prize for the work he’s done on RussiaGate. And his post today “A Review of the Barr ‘Principal Conclusion’ Notification, Overlaying Three Years of Background Research” is a great encapsulation of a lot of that work.

Finally, I leave you with two videos that are at the same time hilarious and infuriating.

This is the modern American news media in a nutshell.

They willingly dragged the country through hell by peddling lies all because they didn’t like the results of the 2016 election.

MediaGate only confirms what President Trump has said all along.  This kind of weaponized fake news is, without question, the enemy of the American people.

For nearly three years, the socialist MSM has been serving the American people with the same steady diet of calories that Venezuelans currently enjoy in their socialist paradise.

I listen to Levin every night. I missed him on Fox & Friends because I’ve been boycotting most of their shows (although he’s scheduled to be on w/Hannity tonight).

I want to see President Trump drop the hammer on all these lying bastards. Every single one of them.

The press stopped being “useful idiots” 75 years ago. It has been pushing Cronkite’s “ugly Americ ” lie since 1948!

Were Trump able to exact some measure of vengeance by himself,I’d be hopeful. Trouble is,his own party won’t back him and the democrats know it. There is little he can do by himself except make them even crazier than they already are.

As Iowahawk says, there is a difference between navel gazing and sniffing your own (musn’t say farts, this is a family blog)

But you can do both at the same time. I wouldn’t put anything past Brian Stelter
