Kamala Hamlet

I mentioned back in late January that Kamala Harris is at a distinct disadvantage in the 2020 Primary.  Namely, as a Democrat from California, she has never faced a competitive race.

When all you need to win in a one-party state like California is a “D” after your name, actual skill as a politician – or actual knowledge or skill at anything for that matter – is not needed.

And given Kamala’s inability to think on her feet and answer questions, I’m thinking she’s learning the hard way that she’s not ready for a national race.

After Bernie Sanders stupidly blundered into his “let the Boston Bomber on death row have the right to vote” insanity at CNN’s town hall Monday night, Kamala was asked to give her opinion.

It’s really a simple yes or no answer.  But Kamala, like Hamlet, couldn’t make up her mind between “Yes, the Boston Bomber on death row should vote” or “Are you kidding me?! No!”

Now, a politician NOT from California could have fielded that question without batting an eye.

Unfortunately, Kamala is from California where actually having the stones to answer questions is not a prerequisite for winning elections.

So she tried that typical “answer a question that was not asked instead of the question that was asked” tactic.

But instead of letting her get away with the deflection, Don Lemon pressed her on letting the Boston Bomber vote from death row.

And poor Kamala once again became a deer in the headlights.

She couldn’t make up her mind. So she punted.

“I think we should have that conversation.”

Really? Whether we should let the Boston Bomber on death row vote is worthy of a conversation?

Well, now we know Kamala meant “Let me have that conversation with my campaign people to determine the best way to answer and I’ll get back to you in 24 hours.”

Because the next day, Kamala finally gave her answer.

“Clarified.”

From: “I think we should have that conversation” to “Should they be deprived of their rights? YES!” is not what we on Planet Earth call “clarifying your answer.” Instead, we call that “finally answering the damn question.”

What kind of a wishy-washy, indecisive candidate needs an entire day to answer that question?

You know what? From now on, I’m going to refer to this floundering fool as Kamala Hamlet.

Kamala Hamlet

Running for office in California is not competitive. You don’t need to work for it. Hell, you don’t even really need to campaign.

So Kamala Hamlet can get away with being indecisive and unable to answer questions on the fly. Because thinking on your feet is not a prerequisite for California Democrats.

Kamala Hamlet can brush off hard questions all the livelong day and she’ll still win election in her state because having a “D” after her name is the only prerequisite needed.

But being Kamala Hamlet won’t fly in a competitive national race.

When the Democrat candidates are finally amassed on the debate stage, Kamala Hamlet is going to be expected to answer questions right there on the spot.

And if she pulls her Hamlet routine during a debate, she will suffer the slings and arrows from her fellow Democrats.

Do you think a single candidate will let Kamala get away with her indecisive “let me get back to you tomorrow?”

Not on the likely.

Instead, this California Hamlet will get eaten alive.

Watching her eaten alive might be fun.
    If I watched Democrat debates.
    Which I won’t.
    My stomach couldn’t handle it.

Does brain dead Bernie think that drugged up psychos, who rob and murder, should get their guns back when paroled?

She fucked her way to her “top” in CA , as AG. Being a vapid, clueless, mattress-back won’t sell to the rest of the general electorate from here on out. But I so enjoy her flailing “positions”…. : )

    I differ!
On Mom’s side I’m 13 generation Cal. we have had the last 2 years 2 parties! the far left/ ultra progressive GOP and the center left D>
    Cal voters are conservative.

the GOP ran a conservative 28 years ago and he beat Brown by almost 50%! The conservative (the last such to get by the far left GOP “leaders”) was Pete Wilson and his votes were 3:2 over Brown!

The GOP clearly does not want to win here! They give us the “Compassionate Conservative” lies; but their actions say 5×5 “WE ARE VERY LIBERAL AND IF YOU ARE NOT A FAR LEFTIST – VOTE D”!

We have 2 parties in Cal. 1 is lead by liberal liars and the other by center left folk with slightly more integrity SLIGHTLY is the key word!

So you’re saying the Democrats are guaranteed to win elections in California. Odd. I think that’s what I said. So, you differ by agreeing with me.

“When all you need to win in a one-party state like California …”
    Your words verbatim.

I said, “we have had the last 2 years 2 parties! the far left/ ultra progressive GOP and the center left D>”

    2 is not 1!

Any non GOP will win in Cal! Because the UNIPARTY is the Cal GOP!
Cal voters are, and have been for 80 years, conservative. We will not vote for the progressive/leftist the GOP machine allows to run!

I strongly disagree with your view of my state. We are conservative; the D has been “more” conservative than the “R” since Pete!

I said not the D are conservative; just not as leftist as the R
Of curse they are “center left” but the GOP ,in actions not words, is far left!

Some of us have taken out our wallets and paid attention to what they do.

3 of our last GOP machine approved state wide folk endorsed “D” in ’18. 2 for Garcettii!

All 3 said vote Clinton! NO surprise to us who had paid attention to what they did; as opposed to their “Compassionate Conservative” lies!

    Once more for emphasis

Any one running against the far left folk the GOP machine runs here in Cal will win! Because you can not be more left than the Bolshevik GOP out West! We have 2 big parties; one clearly does not honestly want to win!

Legal note – I was my college YD President before you were born. I was, and still am. A Ronny Dem!
I have been active in Western politics for over 60 years. I love America so I am a conservative; not GOP leftist!

Simmer down honey. I didn’t once describe the make-up of the people in the state. I described the party make-up of it’s election winners. Does not the Democrat Party have total majority control?

I’m sorry I offended your feelings by describing the election winners in a Democrat-controlled state as “Democrats.” I’d call them Swizzle Sticks, but I don’t think readers would understand.

You do know, right, that the expression 1-party state doesn’t mean the GOP doesn’t exist. California is a 1-party state because Democrats hold unbeatable control. You don’t need to live there to see the D after the winners’ names.

Seriously, do you really want to get this upset over semantics?
