King John and the Act of Succession

King John

Boy, you know, sometimes I should just go with my gut.

A few weeks ago when I was writing about John McCain and why this selfish, self-centered man would not just freaking resign, I deleted something I had added to the post.

Specifically, I posited that the primary reason John McCain wouldn’t simply give up his seat was because he was working behind the scenes to get Cindy McCain to serve out the remainder of his term.

But since it was just me making assumptions, I decided to delete that passage.

Turns out I might have been onto something.

Yesterday Newsmax reported just that.

His Royal Highness King John of Arizona does in fact expect to name his own successor to the throne.

And that successor will be his Royal Consort Cindy McCain.

As Arizonans prepare for their final salute to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Republicans and political pundits in the state privately tell Newsmax they expect the appointment of his wife, Cindy, to succeed him in the Senate.

Of course, no one in the Grand Canyon State who spoke to us wants to go on record discussing what will happen when the ailing McCain no longer holds his seat. But those who did, agree almost unanimously, Cindy McCain following John in the Senate through appointment by Gov. Doug Ducey, R-Ariz., is a near certainty.

“I’ve always assumed that was the arrangement,” said a friend of the McCain family since John’s 1973 return from captivity in Vietnam.

A former Republican senator who served with McCain agreed:

“I don’t know if this [succession] has been formalized, but that’s what people who know John tell me.”

Apparently the McCains are unaware of this. But we fought a Revolution to rid ourselves of a monarchy.

There is no Act of Succession in the United States Constitution.

Succession is determined by the people – not the current sitting Senator.

But King John wants to be able to name his own successor.

So despite the fact that he is not serving his time in the US Senate, the old codger is clinging to his seat and running out the clock.

Should the seat become open before June 1, state law requires a special election this fall. Democrats from Phoenix to Washington, D.C., make little secret of their desire of having another Senate seat on the fall ballot in 2018 because they sense it is a good year for the party outside the White House.

However, if the vacancy in the seat occurs after June 1, state law says the appointee may serve more than two years and a special election would be held in 2020. (McCain won his sixth term in 2016 and this term will not expire until 2022).

This is how little King John thinks of the state he is supposed to serve.

This is how little King John thinks of Arizonans.

I am so sick and tired of both Democrats and Republicans who treat public office as some sort of fiefdom – rule of which is passed down from father to son or husband to wife.

Dynastic rule is antithetical to America.

And yet King John fancies himself the dying head of a Dynasty.

But King John couldn’t get away with this if Republican Governor Doug Ducey didn’t go along with it.

But from what Newsmax reports, Ducey is honoring King John’s personal Act of Succession.

It would be a shame if Arizona voters flooded Governor Ducey with calls (602-542-4331) demanding that they not be disenfranchised because of the self-centered whims of a pretend monarch.

If you can’t change the system then you change the people from the bottom up. It can be a lengthy process and most people can’t be bothered but it can be done.

Coloradoans won a recall vote against a couple anti-gun representatives to set the example of what happens when one betrays the will of the people.

She must be something special. Out of all the girls he was banging in the 70’s she is the one who got his name.
But to be fair, some of the others would be in danger of jail time, had they got his name ; as in both Ca and Az bigamy is a crime.

Speaking of which, she (Cindy Lou) had to wait a few years for Johnny for him to divorce Carol; or he’d a been the bigamist.

But the govt says he suffered!

Not sure I believe “We’re from the Govt….”>
