Kirsten Powers: The Halloween Costume Police

Halloween Costume Police

You know, when I was a kid, I loved Halloween. What kid doesn’t love to dress up and go door-to-door for candy?

But like everything else in American culture, the Left has ruined Halloween.

Now, instead of looking forward to a night of costumes and nuttiness, we get to look forward to moronic lectures from our sanctimonious betters.

Including CNN “Political Analyst” Kirsten Powers.

Wow. She must be fun at the company Halloween party.

“You can’t dress up as another race or culture for Halloween.”

You CAN’T.

Says who?

Well, apparently Kirsten Powers: Halloween Costume Police.

“Your feelings don’t matter. The only feelings that matter are of those who feel disrespected/mocked…”

Well, add to “those” the feelings of Kirsten Powers: Halloween Costume Police.

The ratio for this tweet is well-deserved.

Kirsten Powers ratio

And why precisely is this tweet reserved for “White People?”

Does this mean Officer Kirsten from the Halloween Costume Police would be okay if a black woman dressed as a Geisha?

Can an Asian go in black face?

Honestly, if people get hurt feelings over somebody else’s Halloween costume, maybe they need to step back and reevaluate their life.

Every day on Kirsten’s network, I am accused of being a “racist” or a “Nazi.”

And rather than hurt my feelings, it makes me roll my eyes and continue on about my day.

Seriously, people. Get a friggin’ life.

Can we just please let Halloween exist without turning it into an opportunity for stupid white Liberals like Kirsten Powers to virtue signal?

It’s ironic that Kirsten is appropriating the culture of those virtue signalling nags of the Sanctimony Mountains of Scoldonia.

Doug Wakeman, I’m going to have to appropriate your awesome phrase: those virtue signalling nags of the Sanctimony Mountains of Scoldonia!!! That is rich and beautiful!

Our mistake is thinking that we have to abide by the opinions of these Lefty scolds. We should just go about our business and ignore the squeals. If I want to dress my kids like The Temptations or Geronimo I’ll do it with no remorse. Ignore the PC – do everything they hate.

I’m so sorry, Kirsten, for all the pirates, hobos, and ghosts that I have selfishly disrespected in my many years of ignorance. This year, I’m going to dress up as an ignorant CNN political analyst bint.

    Hey Kirsten,
You sure care how religious or conservative people feel.
Once again we hear from the “do as I tell you to do” crowd.
    Guess what Kirsten……GFY!

Can we dress up as Don Lemon or Joe Scarborough (will need a dead racoon for the head), Juan Williams, April Ryan, Jeff Zucker, and on and on and on?

    HAHAHA what a liberal,
    Good stuff Dianny!

I don’t know what I’d do without your site!
The only things that gets me up in the morning
is coffee, your overwhelmingly chauvinistic articles!
You’re by far my favorite monomaniac!

Kristen is another mentally-Il liberal whose main principle is that she has none. Free speech? Nope, that hurts others feelings. Well she better watch out because without freedom of speech she’ll soon be wearing a hijab and suffer daily beatings when she gets out of line by “the religion of peace.” I’m white and glad my culture is appropriated by others – like washing hands, sewer systems, roads, vaccines, logic, reason, education, not marrying your sister/brother or cousin, not burning a woman to death when her husband dies, etc…

    Hey Kirsten,
Please please help us here. My nephew is married to a native woman. Yes she is truly native, I have met her grandparents and she is a member of a tribe. This isn’t an Elizabeth Warren redo.
Anyway, for Halloween she dressed as a white woman, blond wig and all!
So please enlighten us. What happens when non white people dress as white people for their Halloween entertainment?
I must say I was absolutely aghast. To think that there are people who actually believe that dressing up as white people on Halloween is in any way appropriate.

Hey Kirsten, I’ve got a real dilemma here. My nephew is married to a native woman, yes a real native woman, a registered member of a tribe and not an Elizabeth Warren redo.
Anyway for Halloween, she put on a blond wig and went to a party as a white woman! Needless to say I am aghast at such blatant cultural appropriation for the purpose of entertaining oneself.
So as the expert on Halloween etiquette and sensitivity, is it appropriate for non white people to entertain themselves at Halloween dressed as white people? How about dressing as other non white people? For instance, can a black child go as Moana?
These are certainly deep and troubling questions and we all look to you for enlightenment and guidance.
