Well, it looks like there’s no shortage of squishy Republicans who are desperate to replace John McCain as the Republican Step-n-Fetch-it on the Sunday Morning News Shows.
For months now Jeff Flake — the lame duck Senator from Arizona — has been furiously auditioning for the part.

Weird how an ineffective, largely powerless, lame duck senator keeps getting invited on all the national news shows. https://t.co/zFO00xb4RO

Someone has to take John McCain's place as the pliant Republican on Sunday shows.

Flake has been such a solid contender for the part, I don’t think a Sunday goes by without the Democrat Media Complex sticking his crooked-nosed face on some program.
But Jeff Flake better watch his back.
Because challenging him for the title of the news media’s favorite turncoat Republican is Florida’s own Marco Rubio.
— The Hill (@thehill) May 27, 2018
Yup. Marco McCain went on ABC’s This Week and poo-pooed SpyGate.
You see, the FBI wasn’t spying on the campaign; they were merely spying on people within the campaign.
“When individuals like that are in the orbit of a major political campaign in America, the FBI, who is in charge of counterintelligence investigations, should look at people like that,” Rubio added. “But they’re not investigating the campaign, they’re investigating those people.”
Talk about splitting hairs.
That’s a difference without a distinction.
The fact is, Marco, if Trump’s campaign was not the target, why the hell didn’t the FBI tell Mr. Trump about this? Why didn’t they warn him?
It seems thinking – like drinking water — is challenging for Marco.
But he wasn’t done.
L’il Marco then appeared on CBS’ Face The Nation to echo the sentiments he shared on ABC.
Because of course you have to appear on more than one Sunday show if you hope to claim McCain’s mantle of Pliant, Dutiful Media Tool.
Are Republicans like Marco and Flake retarded?
Do they not understand that the only reason the media wants them on is so they can give a sheen of “bipartisanship” to the media’s furiously spinning denials?
But Marco and Flake – just like John McCain before them – don’t care that they’re being used.
The fact is they want the praise and slobbering press time the Fake News media is willing to give them so long as they side against the President and the Republican agenda.
It’s what made John McCain a media darling.
And once McCain is dead and buried, somebody has to take his place.
