Meryl Streep is So Brave

Last night Meryl Streep went on yet another anti-Trump rant while accepting an award at the Human Rights Campaign Gala.

Have you ever noticed how Leftists always give each other awards? It’s how they maintain the illusion that they’re relevant.

And Meryl, never one to blink at danger, took the opportunity to rail against President Trump’s “brownshirts.”

“It’s terrifying to put the target on your forehead, and it sets you up for all sorts of attacks and armies of brownshirts and bots and worse, and the only way you can do it is to feel you have to,” Ms. Streep said. “You have to.”

What a plucky little soldier!

Meryl Streep is so brave, isn’t she?

What courage it must take to stand before an audience of ideological brethren and attack Donald Trump!

She’s so, soooooo brave!

Her fellow travelers are busy putting targets on the foreheads of every conservative and Trump supporter they can find. [Just read my previous post]

But Meryl, safely surrounded by likeminded people, is the one who is brave.

The New York Times breathlessly reports on Meryl’s supposed bravery as if she stormed the compound in Islamabad and took out bin Laden.

As much as Meryl may fancy herself a brave little toaster, there’s nothing brave or courageous about this at all. Nothing.

Meryl should try being a conservative in Hollywood.

In fact, if Meryl wants to know what it’s like to have a target put on her forehead, she should try being a gay, Jewish conservative speaking on a university campus.

See what kind of reception you’d get then, Meryl.

You want to experience attacks from an army of brownshirts, live in Milo Yiannopoulos’ skin for a couple of days.

Meryl Streep has no idea what it’s like to be attacked for her political or ideological beliefs.

How could she?

She travels in an orbit with people who think and feel precisely as she does.

But like every other Liberal, Meryl wants to portray herself as the courageous Victim – a plucky little fighter standing up to the Big Meanie from behind her hermetically-sealed safe space.

It’s not “terrifying;” it’s laughable.

And it’s nothing new.

We’re going to get another heaping helping of it tonight during the Grammy Awards.

None of the preening prats would ever dream of standing in front of a crowd of Trump supporters and launching these attacks.

Because they’re not brave.

They’re cowards — hurling their stones from behind a impregnable wall of ideological support.

They’re nothing but virtue-signaling frauds.

The Hollyweird Libs and their musical brethren at the Grammys all live in a self congratulation society where all day long they pat each other on the back and offer each other congratulations for their Conformed thinking. No need for thought police here as they are self policing.

They see acting like all the rest of them do as being ‘Brave’. They have successfully ‘dumbed down’ the notion of bravery to such an extent that it really holds no meaning at all any more. Compare their ‘bravery’ to our sons and daughters in the military and it is laughable.

Dianny, you bring up a great point about Milo. He and those who wanted to bring him to the Berkley campus to hear him speak have been vilified by the press, stoned and beaten by the students who conform to the liberal mantra, and generally labelled as being politically deviant in our society. This post following your earlier one this morning about ‘black lists’ really lays out for all to see the hypocrisy of those who claim to be ‘The Tolerant ones’ in our nation today.

Whenever I see Meryl Streep on the news I think of her as “Meryl Sheep” as she was portrayed on Sesame St. and then I wonder what movie has she cried in lately????? She is a repetitive hack actress long since past her expiration date who speaks now just to hear herself speak. That she chose the echo chamber of her ‘peers’ is not a surprise as like all of her compatriots, none of them could tolerate a real debate on the issues that we are facing today without crumbling at our feet. This is how unintelligent and biased they are.

Nothing new to see here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Move Along……

You KNOW that Meryl has first hand knowledge on how the brownshirts acted in the 1930’s because she starred in a movie that was set in Hitler’s Germany.
