Mitt Romney: International Man of Principle

Just spit-balling here. But if Mitt Romney really believes Donald Trump is the worst thing to happen to our Republic since King George III, why is he so desperate to become his Secretary of State?

Romney went on a one-man mission last spring to destroy Donald Trump’s chances in the primaries.

Not that anybody noticed or cared.

In fact, Romney showed more chutzpa in taking on Trump than he ever did in 2012 against Obama.

If he displayed half that determination when he ran against Obama, he’d be President Romney right now.

Good old Mitt is proving to be just as much of an opportunist as every other member of the Republican political class.

All those supposed “principles” that prevented him from supporting the Republican nominee are worth about as much as air in a jug.

Just how much of a “fraud,” “con man” and “phony” can Donald Trump be if Romney is willing to forget calling him a “fraud,” “con man” and “phony” in order to get a position in his Administration?

Sounds to me like Mitt Romney is the fraud and phony.

There is an up-side to Romney begging Donald Trump to be Secretary of State.

And that’s the pleasure of watching Romney beg Donald Trump to be Secretary of State.

Fox News’ Ed Henry is reporting that Trump’s transition team is considering making Mitt publicly apologize for being such a douchenozzle during the election.

Hell, tell the guy to eat a dead crow live on television.

Something tells me, Romney would show up wearing a lobster bib clutching a knife and fork.

My only question for the Trump Transition Team is this.

If Mitt Romney can so easily do a 180 on his opinion of President-Elect Trump, can you really trust him not to do another 180 once he becomes Secretary of State?

It isn’t that I don’t think Romney would be good as Secretary of State.

I just don’t know if you can trust him.

Seems to me Romney’s “principles” have far more to do with whatever benefits him than anything else.

His eagerness to join the Trump Administration seems less about serving the country and far more about self-serving opportunism.

And I just don’t know if that kind of malleability should be rewarded.

There was this story Trump used to tell during his rallies about an old woman and a snake. I suggest he remember the advice given in that story and follow it.
