When I heard that the popular AOC Parody account @AOCpress was banned from Twitter, for some reason, the first thing that popped into my head was “Uh-oh. Someone committed blasphemy!”
You must not mock AOC.
Nor can you criticize her.
And you will not – and I can’t stress this enough — parody her. Ever.
It’s not because it’s mean or rude. No.
It’s because the faithful flock of AOC followers view it as blasphemy.
And heaven help anyone who runs afoul of the AOC worshippers.
They will make your life a living hell.
True, it could be worse.
They aren’t arming to the teeth and descending on the creator of the @AOCpress account the way the Islamists did to the staff of Charlie Hebdo when they mocked Muhammad.
But that’s probably because the AOC congregants are scared of guns. Plus, the lead in bullets is anathema according to the Gospel of the Green New Deal.
Besides, since the Church of AOC counts among its number employees of Twitter, they don’t need to resort to violence.
All they have to do is angrily report the blasphemer’s Twitter account, and the AOC faithful at Twitter will take it from there.
What made @AOCpress so “dangerous” to the acolytes of AOC is obvious.
Satire is the most dangerous form of humor. It crawls up under your skin and burrows there like a tick.
And because the AOC devotees are largely made up of humorless dinks, they respond to satire like Dracula responds to holy water.
It also didn’t help that the @AOCpress account was so on-the-nose that many of AOC disciples couldn’t tell the difference between the parody and the real Queen.
They were made fools of by a clever, witty satirical account that hoodwinked them off the path of salvation.
And that’s the kind of sin that doesn’t wash off.
The incestuous relationship between the Democrat Party and Twitter is hard to miss.
It isn’t a level playing field.
Just search for “Trump” and “parody” and see what comes up https://t.co/TLV1sOjw4K— Julie Kelly (@julie_kelly2) May 7, 2019
But parody and satire are a-okay when pointed in our direction.
Too bad the Left sucks at it. It’s hard to successfully wield satire when you are an angry, humorless dink.
We all know Twitter runs interference for Democrats. That’s hardly new.
But the zealousness with which Twitter targets anyone who blasphemes against AOC is beyond anything we’ve seen. In fact, I don’t even think Barack Obama got this kind of devoted protection.
Back in 2013, a rodeo clown blasphemed against the Democrats by wearing an Obama mask during the Missouri State Fair rodeo.
In response, conservatives on Twitter launched #MockObamaDay. Thousands upon thousands of tweets all lambasting the thin-skinned Obama swarmed Twitter. Personally, I went to town on #MockObamaDay. And nobody reported a single one of my tweets.
Could you imagine if we held a #MockAOCDay on Twitter? (Say, that’s a good idea!)
The acolytes would be busier than a one-armed paper hanger trying to get every one of us banned.
These folks aren’t fans of a politician; they are adherents – a congregation of deeply faithful dutifully worshipping at the feet of their queen.
