Sure, that’s what they keep telling us, isn’t it?
Tragedies like Las Vegas have happened too many times. We need to have the conversation about how to stop gun violence. We need it NOW.
— Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren) October 2, 2017
But trust me. They don’t want a conversation.
A conversation implies that all parties come together and have a chance to speak, discuss, and explain.
But that’s not what these guys want at all.
They want us to stand silent while they demagogue, fear monger, yell and scream.
And if, heaven forbid, we try to respond, they will accuse us of having blood on our hands and being to blame for the evil act of one man.
Jimmy Kimmel is literally using something called a “monologue” to harangue gun owners and libel them.
If you are using a “monologue” to talk about “gun violence,” you aren’t in the least bit interested having a conversation.
This “we need to have a conversation” claim is such nonsense.
And, let’s be honest. It’s virtually impossible at this point.
How do you converse with people who call you terrorists for being members of the National Rifle Association?
How do you converse with people who accuse you of being complicit in mass murder simply because you support the Second Amendment?
No. They don’t want a conversation.
When one side is not allowed to even defend itself against these relentless slanders and blood libel, I think it’s pretty clear that the other side isn’t interested in having a conversation.
What they want is to be the only ones heard.
They want to silence dissent.
And when they can’t, they will slander those who dare to disagree.
On what planet is that having a conversation?
