Since they were unable to hang their tinfoil hats on “collusion,” the conspiracy theorists masquerading as “journalists” have now shifted gears to “obstruction.”
They just won’t let this go.
Of course the greatest irony is Rachel Maddow – the Commander-in-Chief of the Tinfoil Hat Brigade – inviting on disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. The two consoled each other by pretending that Mueller’s report made the case that President Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice.
The general feeling among our media betters is that Trump must be guilty of obstruction because he was so furious over this witch hunt.
Chief among the talking points: An innocent man wouldn’t get so mad.
Do these morons really think that a man wrongfully accused wouldn’t fight back against the accusations?
Ask yourself how you would react if your entire life and the lives of those around you were turned upside down over charges you know are false. If you were the subject of a two-year “investigation” into something that you know you’re innocent of, would you stand silently by?
Meet the media legal crowd: frustration with illegal leaks & fake news stories is now “evidence of guilt” of a crime?!? https://t.co/1uXMLRzYvz— Robert Barnes (@Barnes_Law) April 18, 2019
I don’t understand – why would only a guilty person use a meme? Wouldn’t a meme be a really useful way for an innocent person to mock a bunch of lying dirtbags who have been completely and publicly humiliated? You know, people like you.#AllYourDreamsAreDead https://t.co/Q075H3OzNr— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) April 19, 2019
This is the same nonsensical claim the media and Senate Democrats made about Brett Kavanaugh.
“If he’s innocent, why is he so angry?!”
Maybe because he’s innocent, you unbelievable prats.
Yet these morons really want you to buy the argument that Trump tweeting his frustration and anger over this witch hunt is somehow “proof” of his obstruction.
You cannot commit obstruction of justice by publicly defending yourself or publicly criticizing the actions of the government. See United States Constitution, Amendment I. #MuellerReport— Robert Barnes (@Barnes_Law) April 19, 2019
But, as Sundance from the Conservative Treehouse pointed out (and not for the first time), the Mueller investigation – under the heavy, duplicitous hand of Weissmann – was always about obstruction.
Mueller/Rosenstein and the entire apparatus were trying to provoke Trump in all manners to enhance the obstruction case. The *methods* the team used were always focused on trying to goad Trump into firing, or interfering, thereby creating more obstruction fuel.— TheLastRefuge (@TheLastRefuge2) April 18, 2019
It’s clear what the Tinfoil Hat Brigade is trying to do here.
First, they’re trying to keep the impeachment talk going in hopes the House acts. After all, the coup attempt failed. Mueller failed. Impeachment on outlandish charges of obstruction is their Hail Mary.
But more importantly, they’re trying to discredit and undermine Attorney General Barr because last week Barr let us know he intends to look into the machinations and schemes that led to this colossal waste of time and money.
And that investigation could very well be incredibly damaging to the media, to the Democrats and to the very people Rachel Maddow and the rest of the Tinfoil Hat Brigade hold in such high regard.
They know just how damaging an investigation into SpyGate will be.
So they are working overtime to smear and delegitimize William Barr.
The effort to discredit Barr has nothing to do with Mueller dossier and everything to do with undermining the real investigation that’s coming next. https://t.co/khwgQ4izRt— Julie Kelly (@julie_kelly2) April 18, 2019
If the tactic looks familiar, it should.
It’s the exact same thing they’ve been trying to do to Donald Trump ever since he won in 2016.
These people aren’t particularly clever. They tend to go to the same well every single time.
So let them demand William Barr testify before Congress.
If that press conference yesterday and his previous testimony are any indication, Barr doesn’t tolerate nonsense and baseless rhetoric.
The problem with the Left is, as I say all the time, they always push too hard and too far.
And I suspect pushing obstruction in order to justify impeachment is going to backfire on them in a big way.
Okay, this six-minute clip of Mark Levin on Fox & Friends is well-worth watching.
