The Pied Piper of Fake News

Pied Piper

Things are certainly back-asswards, aren’t they?

Congressional investigations are being led by unsubstantiated stories in the news.

Our “leaders” are no longer leading.

Instead, they’re a bunch of mindless lemmings following after every “breaking,” “anonymously sourced” news story that comes down the pike.

Like rats following after the Pied Piper, Congressmen and Senators are getting caught up in the siren song of the Fake News.

Does anybody else find this remarkable?

I expect the Democrats to jump on every anonymously sourced hit-piece burped out by the Washington Post or the New York Times. After all, they’re working with them.

But the problem is, the Republicans in Congress seem powerless to stand up to these hacks.

I hate to admit that I expected nothing less.

Republicans have always been content at behaving like a powerless minority even when they’re in the majority.

As I’ve said, they’re Gentlemen Losers – more than happy to be led around by the nose so long as they appear “moderate,” “reasonable” and “bipartisan.”

And let’s face it. They’re terrified of the Enslaved Press.

Republicans in Congress see how relentlessly these vultures are going after Donald Trump. And rather than stand up to them, they pull a hamstring putting distance between them and the President.

They’re the majority. But they’re acting like a powerless minority.

And it isn’t even that they’re letting the Democrats run the agenda.

No. That would be bad enough.

What the Republicans are doing is letting the Pied Piper of Fake News run the show.

Yesterday, in his commencement speech at the Coast Guard Academy, President Trump gave some excellent advice to the graduating cadets [from the White House website]:

Look at the way I’ve been treated lately — (laughter) — especially by the media.  No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly.  You can’t let them get you down.  You can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams.  (Applause.)  I guess that’s why I — thank you.  I guess that’s why we won.
Adversity makes you stronger.  Don’t give in.  Don’t back down.  And never stop doing what you know is right.  Nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy.  And the more righteous your fight, the more opposition that you will face.

But you know who really needs to hear that advice?

The Republicans in Congress.

They’re scampering away from a raging battle for the soul of the nation like cowardly chickens.

And instead of standing up for our democratically-elected President – standing up for the people who put him in office – these yellow-bellied, pusillanimous pukes join the pig-pile.

The Republicans in Congress are surrendering. They will not fight for us. And they will not fight to advance the very agenda that got President Trump elected.

They are letting themselves be led by the Pied Piper of Fake News.

And they’ll be led all right – right over the cliff and into electoral defeat in 2018.

President Trump isn’t giving up.

So why are they?

Are they really such spineless cowards that they will not bring themselves to stand up against this slanderous onslaught and fight back?

The Republicans in Congress could learn a thing or two from Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump is right. Never in the history of this country has any president been subjected to such a coordinated hit-job.

And he’s been under assault for nearly two years.

The difference is blazingly obvious.

Rather than caving in at the first sign of conflict, Donald Trump fights back.

He lives by the very advice he gave those cadets.

Never, ever give up.

Despite everything, he stands firmly on every position he took.

And he’s right. That is why he won.

So I have some advice for the Republicans in Congress.

Fight back.

For God’s sake – for the sake of the country – you Republicans in Congress have to fight back.

Don’t be led off the cliff like mindless sheep following the Pied Piper of Fake News.

The Democrats have no power. They know it.

It’s time you guys acted like you knew it too.

These Fake News hacks are looked upon with derision outside of Washington and New York.

It’s time you guys treated them with just as much disrespect as they show us.

But the truth is, all of us should take President Trump’s advice.

He has suffered the slings and arrows of hateful, vengeful cretins all because he stands unwaveringly with you and me.

It’s time for us to fight back too.

We have phones. And we can write letters and emails.

Hell, print up this post and drop it in the mail to your Congressman and Senators. Email it to them.

Tell them to fight back.

Demand that they show the same amount of fortitude and courage that President Trump has shown.

We’ve given them everything they asked for – the House, the Senate, the White House.

And now it’s time for them to rise — not just in the defense of our President. But in the defense of the American people.

So-called “journalists” should not be setting the agenda in Washington.

We didn’t elect CNN or the Washington Post to anything.

We elected Donald J. Trump.

And we expect the Republicans in Congress to step up, show some courage, and never stop doing what is right.

And leading the pack in the run-for-the-hills R’s is that despicable John McCain (but I am surprised that Wonder Boy Ryan is standing up for the President). Watch Hannity’s show from last night; he absolutely tore into these spineless jelly fish. And then these spineless fools have the guts to ask us for donations. Stuff it.

One of Hannity’s guests put it very well last night when talking about the D’s and their frothing at the mouth. The comment was, “They got hit by a 2 x 4 in November and can’t accept it”. Bingo.

This is the reason I joined the Conservative Party in New york. Republicans are a bunch of pussy-wimps who fail to legislate and lead anymore. THey take notes from John McCain and go run towards the Neo-Liberal agenda. All useless congressmen need to be purged.

I took your advice and printed it out, but I’ll send it to Paul Ryan. I’m surrounded by the other side here in Northern Illinois. Ryan may have finally stood up for Trump, but I don’t trust him. Great post as always. Thanks!

The republicans are a bunch of intellectually lazy clowns who care only for keeping their low work-high pay jobs. They could care less if Trump is left on his own as long as they get their piece of the taxpayer pie.
