Protecting Obama’s so-called Legacy matters more than the Iranian people

so-called legacy

The thing that is most stunning about this uprising in Iran is the American news media’s willingness to peddle Regime Propaganda.

In fact, yesterday, the New York Times went so far as to blame the protesters for their own deaths and arrests.

Ah, yes. If only the people protesting the regime would stop ignoring the demands of the regime.

Good grief.

Now, listen. I highly doubt the New York Times or CNN are trying to prop up the mullahs.

It isn’t the regime they want to protect.

Not at all.

Instead, they’re desperate to protect the same thing they’ve protected for nine years: the Obama presidency and his so-called legacy.

But the media isn’t alone.

The supporting cast of characters of the Obama Administration are doing the same damn thing.

The truth is Obama’s so-called legacy and agenda have always mattered more to them than human rights or freedom.

That’s why they stood aside and let the Green Revolution die on the vine back in 2009.

It’s why they shut down Project Cassandra effectively letting Hezbollah off the hook.

It’s why they handed billions of dollars to the number one state sponsor of terrorism.

And it’s why they are demanding that the Trump Administration stay silent on the current rebellion in Iran.

Trust me. None of them believe that staying silent will help bring freedom to Iran.

They want Trump to stay silent for the same reason Obama stayed silent in 2009.

As I mentioned before on several occasions, before he was even elected President, Senator Barack Obama sent an emissary to Tehran to let the mullahs know that he would be a friend of Iran.

He encouraged them not to work with George W. Bush’s administration. Instead, to wait until he was elected and work with him.

When the Green Revolution exploded in Iran, Obama didn’t want to risk that “friendship” with the mullahs by supporting a freedom movement.

Yesterday, Benny Avni of the New York Post penned an excellent opinion piece, With the new protests in Iran, this is no time for the West to stay quiet.

In it, he makes this point:

Yet, Cold War dissidents like Natan Sharansky say President Ronald Reagan’s encouragement helped them survive the Soviet regime. Now as the veteran Farsi-language broadcaster Menashe Amir tells me, the current uprising needs international, and specifically American, encouragement to survive the regime’s onslaught.

But of course they do.

Imagine how it would have been different if President Obama spoke out in support of the Green Revolution. They were begging him to.

But he couldn’t, could he? Because he already chose a side. And he chose the mullahs.

But why would anyone listen to the advice of former Obama Administration hacks now?

Listen, a good rule of thumb is this: if Obama people give you advice on Iran, do the opposite.

After all, they are the ones who emboldened the mullahs. In fact, in their quest for this so-called “deal,” the Obama Administration gave credibility to this despotic regime — the very regime the Iranian people are fighting today.

The only reason they are frantic to control the narrative is because they want to preserve Obama’s so-called legacy.

It isn’t about the people of Iran. They don’t care about them.

But I also think there’s more to it than simply preserving their precious Iran Deal.

If I had to guess, I’d say that there’s also a bit of fear in Obamaland – fear that this uprising might be successful.

If the mullahs are overthrown, anybody else wonder what closely-held secrets regarding the “negotiations” over the Iran Deal will be revealed?

Let’s face it, what is known about the concessions made by Obama are bad enough.

Can you imagine what was kept hidden from us?

Think of it this way.

If Hillary Clinton won the White House, we would never have known of the corruption among the FBI leadership. And the Obama Administration was so certain she would win, they violated the law with impunity.

But then Hillary lost. And everything they did to undermine the 2016 election and the investigation into Hillary’s crimes are being exposed.

I think it’s possible the same holds true with regard to the negotiations with Iran.

So long as the mullahs remain in power, any secret concessions Obama did to get this deal stay hidden.

But if the mullahs are tossed out and Iran frees itself from this despotic regime?

Well, let’s just say all bets are off.

Obama’s so-called legacy isn’t worth the paper it was written on.

I said back in 2013 that Barack Obama’s foreign policy was like Jenga. Pull out any one piece and the unstable tower comes tumbling down.

The protesters in Iran may very well be the piece that topples the whole damn thing.

Everything the left does isn’t just about preserving Obama’s legacy but also keeping him and themselves out of jail. A whole lot of law breaking went on during his administration. Think about the law breaking we know about then realize that is only the smoke and not the fire.

God grant that Iran is freed from tyranny

Not only siding with enemies but his administration helped overthrow the government of Ukraine. Victoria Newland was distributing cookies to the revolutionaries during that coup. Obozo and his minions still support the mullahs. That is why they’re trying to tell President Trump to not support those that seek freedom in Iran.

I must have misread. It looks to me like you are saying – between the lines – American Press are liars.
