Remembering the Legend

The Legend

Last night I sat down and watched “American Sniper” – that phenomenal film about “The Legend” – Chris Kyle.

You want to hear something odd? I had completely forgotten that today was Chris Kyle Day when I decided to watch “American Sniper” for the fourth time.

And this morning, I was on Twitter and saw this:

Odd that I would choose to watch the movie about the Legend on the eve of the day honoring him.

Tuesday night, in his State of the Union Address, President Trump said:

And freedom stands tall over one more monument: this one. This Capitol. This living monument to the American people.
A people whose heroes live not only in the past, but all around us – defending hope, pride, and the American way.

Chris Kyle was one of those heroes.

And even after he came home, the Legend continued to serve – to reach out and help other vets, to protect them as he protected them in Iraq.

So today, remember the Legend. Remember his service, his courage, his love for his brothers in arms and his love of America.

What a true American Hero. We can never repay the debt, but we can and must do battle every day
to keep this Nation alive and return it to its roots. Thank you for doing this very thing Dianny. You are also a hero to so many. Also, please pray for Taya Kyle and the children; a difficult day for them.

Frogmen + SEALS are all great men. I have several friends who were/are SEALS.
I had a friend in HS 59 years ago who was a Frog man. the Chinese killed him 9/63; 2 months before the Russians killed JFK. \OPK the killer was an “other than honorably” discharged , disgruntled exJarhead. But he spent 3 years in Russia being trained by the NKVD. Which is the reason our CIA (like the FBI totally no good!) said they did not keep close tabs on him! After all it is the KGB that sends “sleepers” to do bad things! CIS, like FBI again wrong.

PS his rifle badge/dedal says for a Jarhead he as bad; got lots of “Maggies …”!

Hi Jarhead! I don’t think of you as ol’ or ex. Always appreciate your comments. Only Marine that was truly EX is Oswald. And in my mind, he was never a legit Marine based on not living up to the values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.
He was dishonorable, cowardly and commited to evil. Ugh.
Big OohRah to you and a HooYah to Chris Kyle’s memory. How we miss him.

Still not ancient! I started college in ’62. So we share the same history. I actually saw Oswald
killed on live tv broadcast. Thanks for your service. (And OF COURSE your DD214 is honorable!) I love the Corps; my grandson is a Marine! Semper Fi, my friend.
