From the way Nancy Pelosi wields her Catholicism as a defensive weapon, you’d think she was Van Helsing warding off a vampire by wielding a cross. She deploys it, not to be a witness for the Gospel, but as a way to shut down any challenge that comes her way. Saint Nancy is Catholic when it suits her. But when her Catholicism is an obstacle, she tosses it aside without a second thought.
Then again, this is how Saint Nancy has always treated her “faith” — as a shield.
This past week when reporter James Rosen tried to get Saint Nancy on the record about Republicans’ claims that impeachment was fueled solely by hatred for President Trump, instantly, the babbling, incoherent crone whipped out her Catholic shield. And with sanctimonious finger-pointing and self-righteous indignation, Saint Nancy lectured Rosen about her Catholic upbringing.
“I don’t hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. I pray for the president all the time. So don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that!”
Yes, it shows, doesn’t it, that “heart full of love?”
I guess Saint Nancy never heard the verse “You will know them by their fruits.”
Like Saint Kirsten Gillibrand, Saint Nancy is willing to toss her light under a bushel in order to preserve and protect unrestricted abortion on demand.
And when it comes to this impeachment farce, Saint Nancy is going all-in on bearing false witness.
But I guess she bears false witness with love in her heart, am I right?
Her Catholicism isn’t a faith; it’s a shield – something to hold up in front of her to avoid being held to account for this bad faith effort to impeach President no matter what.
You are not allowed to question the motives of the Democrats in Congress who are busy questioning the motives of President Trump. Because questioning the Democrats’ motives is somehow an attack on Saint Nancy and her deeply-held (yet easily set aside) religious beliefs.
She is making a mockery of faith.
Much like Pastor Pete Buttigieg, Nancy uses her religion as a weapon against anyone who disagrees with her. She feels at liberty to judge others, but the moment someone dares to question her judgment, she clutches her Rosary and howls in self-righteous indignation.
Asking if the Republicans have a point that impeaching the President is based largely on despising him and his policies, and not on actual impeachable offenses, is a legitimate question.
When you have that rancorous hag Rashida Tlaib screeching “Impeach the Mother**cker!” just hours after being sworn in, one has to ask what the motivation is.
Reporters have every right to ask what is the motive behind this non-stop impeachment push that began even before Donald Trump was inaugurated.
After several weeks of presenting no fact witnesses who can actually point to a high crime or misdemeanor committed by this President, Saint Nancy still goes ahead and asks for articles of impeachment to be presented. And that begs the question why.
It’s perfectly logical to ask if this willingness to proceed despite a lack of evidence (or even a crime) is motivated by personal animus toward President Trump.
To me, Nancy’s reaction to this question was telling. Rosen drew blood and Nancy got defensive.
So she pulled out the Catholic shield and hid behind it — sputtering in self-righteous indignation rather than address the question.
We’re not blind. And we’re not stupid.
Since they took the House, the Democrats have made it their mission to destroy this President. They have blocked legislation that would improve the lives and the economic prosperity of the American people because destroying Trump is more important to them than we are.
Saint Nancy invoking her Catholic upbringing as a way to prevent reporters from asking challenging questions is craven and perverse. Not to mention shameless demagoguery.
And the fact that the only people praising Saint Nancy for this shameless display are the ones who revel in attacking or dismissing people of faith tells me all I need to know.
Much like her newly discovered respect for the Constitution, Nancy’s Catholicism is barely even skin-deep – something she can easily throw on or discard in the blink of an eye.
She is, to coin a phrase, a whitewashed sepulcher. And behind that façade Nancy hides her ugly vitriol, her seething hatred, and her scheming opportunism.
And the only people applauding her are the ones whose hatred for Christians is dwarfed only by their hatred for President Trump.
