Shouldn’t her “civic responsibility” include testifying under oath?

under oath

The Senate Judiciary Committee has announced that they will delay the Kavanaugh vote in order to hold hearings this Monday on these last minute accusations against him.

But as yet, Kavanaugh’s accuser has not agreed to attend.

Odd, isn’t it?

She told the Washington Post on Sunday that it was her “civic responsibility” to come forward and tell her story publicly.

But apparently telling her story publicly while under oath isn’t included.

From Pavlich’s piece:

“We still haven’t heard from Dr. Ford, so do they want to have the hearing or not?” Grassley said during an interview with Salem Radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday morning. “We have reached out to her in the last 36 hours, three or four times by email and we have not heard from them. It kind of raises the question do they want to come to the public hearing or not? The reason we’re having the public hearing is obviously, well number one, accusations like this deserve consideration and looking into and that’s what the purpose of the hearing is. We wouldn’t be having the hearing if Dr. Ford told the Washington Post and other people publicly she wanted to testify.”

I mean, her attorney – who by the way is the co-chair of a Soros-funded organization opposing Kavanaugh’s nomination – has been all over television.

It seems to me if Ford were really interested in civic responsibility and her attorney interested in justice, they wouldn’t hesitate to have the opportunity to have Ford’s accusations on the record and under oath.

Then again, perhaps her accusation was only meant for the court of public opinion – the one court in the country that never puts anyone under oath.

Judge Kavanaugh quickly offered to return to make testimony under oath about these accusations – even before Grassley asked him.

So why won’t his accuser?

And why, pray tell, are the Democrats on the committee not cooperating with Senator Grassley?

This is, as the saying goes, something that makes you go “Hmmmm.”

Now, according to “sources,” Ford’s attorney is the one dragging this along.

Perhaps Ford or her attorney will finally respond to Grassley’s repeated requests. It still could happen.

But if I had to venture a guess, I’d say the reason Ford is dragging her feet is because they want to do everything humanly possible to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

Nothing happens by mistake.

And the Democrats’ talking points are clear.

Since July the Democrats have been demanding that Kavanaugh’s confirmation be delayed until after the Midterm elections.

You don’t think they’re going to exploit the hell out of these last-minute accusations to get what they want?

Of course they are.

And since Ford and her attorney are both Leftwing activists in good standing, it stands to reason they would do everything they can to help the Democrats delay this for as long as possible.

I’m inclined to agree.

If I were Grassley, I would tell Ford and her attorney that it’s Monday or never. And if they don’t agree, screw them and screw the Democrats.

Proceed with the vote and confirm Kavanaugh.

The Republicans should just hold the vote today. Anybody with more than two brain cells knew that the democrats were going to drag this out and she wasn’t going to appear.

It should have been never already. Feinstein could have asked him during her interview. She could have raised the issue during the confirmation hearing. She didn’t. Game over. You don’t get to run another play after the clock expires when you could have used it during the game.

This is the kind of crap that just drives me nutz! Who could not have predicted this tactic, and why the heck isn’t someone saying, “Damn the bs, full speed ahead!” Too late, try again next time. Are the Senators that incompetent, that afraid of wrong headed public opinion, or just happy playing the game, and making some money, regardless of who , or what happens? When will the finally drop on the criminal cabal? I have to admit, (like the Church lady), I’m praying AGAINST them! lol

hold the hearing next Monday. if Dr. Ford fails to show, let kavanaugh tell his side of the story, under oath, and answer questions from the left.
them call an “expert witness” to explain how “repressed memories” are extreamly unreliable.
then present the articals that state she doesn’t remember the house the party was at, the family who owned the house, who took her to the party, how she got there, or home afterwards, or anyone else who was at the party( if she does show, she should answer these questions herself, under oath).
bottom line is that anyone who was going to vote against kavanaugh will still vote against him, all those who would have voted for will still vote for, and the 2 or 3 rhinos who claim to be on the fence will have believable cover to vote for.

Speaking of testifying under oath. Trump should nominate Hillary Clinton to the Supreme Court so he could finally get an investigation of her started.

Excellent point about Clinton! It would never happen but if it did, the left would shit themselves.
