Sneaky Trump gives Awan Scandal Story Legs

You know, just the other morning, I was reading the latest scoop from Luke Rosiak about Imran Awan and his intrusion into Congressional computers.

And I thought to myself, “Why in the name of sweet fancy Moses is this not a bigger story?!”

Everything that the news media wishes the RussiaGate story was is found in the sordid tale of Imran Awan.

Foreign interference, computer intrusions, hacking, national security threat – all of it is there.

But for more than year, Luke Rosiak of the Daily Caller is the only reporter on the case.

Nobody in the supposed “mainstream” news media is willing to touch this story.

And we all know why.

Imran Awan – the Pakistani IT guy – was working for Democrats.

In September 2016, the Office of the House Inspector General discovered the Awan family was transferring data from the House network to an offsite location. As a result the whole sordid lot of them were locked out of the system. And still Debbie Wasserman Schultz kept Awan on the payroll.

Not one of these conmen were ever subjected to a background check before being hired on in some capacity by nearly one-fifth of the House Democrats.

And that includes Ted Lieu – that prissy hall monitor from California who can’t stop carping about Jared Kushner’s lack of a security clearance.

Democrats on the Judiciary Committee and even the Intelligence Committee hired on these shady characters who proceeded to burrow into classified files with impunity.

And, as Rosiak’s most recent report alleges, handed off these files to Pakistani intelligence.

Yet not a peep – not one word – from the so-called “Free Press.”

And then Donald Trump sent out a tweet with a typo.

Awan story

Naturally, Leftists in the so-called ResistanceLOL couldn’t WAIT to get screen captures of this tweet.

“LOL! He’s so stupid. He called her Wendy Wasserman Schultz!!!”

After a while, Trump deleted it and retweeted it with “Wendy’s” name corrected.

And the fact that he deleted it delighted the ResistanceLOL even more.

“Oh, look! He deleted it. Sorry Donald, the internet is forever!! LOL!!!!”

Honestly, these ResistanceLOL people are so stupid.

Thanks to them hungrily tweeting out the screen capture of the now-deleted tweet to all their fellow ResistanceLOL folks, the story of Imran Awan has been given legs.

All because they wanted to mock Trump over calling DWS “Wendy.”

Now, I’m not saying that he referred to Debbie Wasserman Schultz as Wendy on purpose.

It doesn’t matter if he did or not.

Either way, the media was all over that tweet like white on rice – including the Hill, the New York Daily News, and Mediaite.

Luke Rosiak, who deserves a Pulitzer prize for his coverage of the Awan scandal, made the most of the potential Google searches that would arise from Trump’s use of “Pakistani mystery man.”

He responded by writing this story at the Daily Caller:

Fifteen Things to Know About ‘Pakistani Mystery Man’ Imran Awan.

Pure genius.

In fact, I can tell you that a ton of people over the last 12 hours have landed on after doing a search – more than likely inspired by that now-deleted tweet. Suddenly this post — Little Ted Lieu and the Pakistani IT Scandal — has received hundreds of hits since yesterday evening.

In other words, President Trump once again controls the media narrative.

Despite ignoring this story for a year and a half, the media blundered into exposing it to a wider audience.

All to mock the President for calling Debbie Wasserman Schultz “Wendy.”

Thank you, President Trump. You answered my wish.

And it is all kinds of Schadenfreuderrific!

Me thinks the mispelling was done on purpose, knowing the SJB (social justice bullies) are ready to jump on any tweet mistake. Regardless, I’ve never seen anybody paint themselves into a corner like this outside of some Saturday morning cartoon where the cartoon character still has more smarts than the Libs.

Wendy is the pseudonym DWS used in her “private” political emails. NO mistake.

I’m not sure why you’re congratulating me. Did I win the Publishers Clearinghouse?

I recall a bet two bloggers made on who could write a post that got the most comments. One guy’s post got 50 comments, the other got 250. The loser asked what was so special about the post his rival made. The rival said, I deliberately misspelled a word in the post title.

And, you get a gift for Mom’s birthday. What a great day!

I did? Seriously, you guys. What in the Sam Hill are you talking about? If I won the Publishers Clearinghouse, just say so.

I think they’re congratulating you on your uptick in traffic/hits.

    HBD Mom!

A few hundred hits on an old post isn’t an uptick in traffic or hits. When posts of mine get thousands, a few hundred people searching on “Pakistani mystery man” finding a year old post from Patriot Retort is an anecdote, not some amazing, earth-shattering accomplishment.

Say what you will about Trump – and I often say plenty both good and bad – but this guy is a genius when it comes to manipulating the media. He’s played them like a fiddle his entire adult life and even more so now!
