In yesterday’s questioning of Brett Kavanaugh, Senator Kamala Harris inadvertently revealed just how little regard she has for the Constitution she took an oath to support and defend.
In earlier testimony, Kavanaugh pulled out his pocket Constitution in answering a question.
And apparently, Kamala thought it would be a grand idea to mock him for having a copy of the Constitution on hand — referring to it as “that book you carry.”
That book you carry.
Good grief. Such a nasty woman.
I’m guessing if a nominee carried around a copy of “A Handmaid’s Tale,” Kamala would weep tears of joy.
But carry a copy of the Constitution, and Kamala sneers.
Earth to Ms. Harris, that book he carries is the foundation of the very government in which you serve, you wretched crank.
It wasn’t that long ago that you put your hand on another book some of us carry and swore the following:
“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
But the disdain and derision she exhibited for “that book you carry” leads me to suspect, she didn’t mean a single word of that oath.
