The Last Surprise

I said earlier that those of us who voted for Trump are what I call the Last Surprise.

And I’m beginning to wonder if the shock, anger and uproar over the supposed deal with the Democrats on DACA was designed to unleash Trump’s supporters on Congress.

Bear with me here. And let me explain.

The Democrats release a statement saying they have a deal with President Trump on DACA that will not include the wall.

And the response from Trump supporters was swift and brutal.

As I said in my earlier post:

We need to let the President know that we won’t accept “later” when it comes to border security and the Wall.
The only “later” should be DACA – as in the Wall and border security first, then DACA later.
We didn’t vote for Illegals First/America Later; we voted for America First.

Clearly we have done precisely what I suggested earlier (and no, not because I suggested it).

But we haven’t just let the President know our displeasure. We are also letting Congress know.

Check out this tweet from Jack Posobiec:

Could this have been the plan all along – to unleash us, the Last Surprise, on those in Congress standing in the way of Trump’s immigration agenda?

What stopped Amnesty in the past was the full force and might of the American people.

We stopped it when Bush tried it.

We stopped the Gang of Eight.

And now we are putting pressure on Congress again.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if President Trump wanted to mobilize us to secure a better deal.

After all, he mobilized us in 2016.

Like I said, in the 2016 election, we were the Last Surprise – the unexpected plot twist the Enslaved Press, the Clinton campaign and all of Washington didn’t see coming.

President Trump is not a typical politician.

And I can’t help but wonder if he let the Congress walk right into a trap knowing that the tens of millions of Americans who support his immigration policies would strike.

Now, don’t get me wrong.

I’m not saying I know this definitively.

I’m just guessing here.

But the swift and forceful response from voters certainly gives the President leverage – not just over Nancy and Chuck, but also over the recalcitrant Republican leadership.

And it makes me wonder if he once again unleashed the Last Surprise.

So what do you think?

Did Trump do this knowing full well that his supporters would mobilize?

Was that part of the plan?

Or is this all just dumb luck?

The President is the master of trolling the Dems and the left. He’s playing them like a fiddle.

      I think you’re right.

The President is a troll. He knows how to manipulate people and enrage others. Have faith.

I hope DJT thinks exactly as you do, Diann….in all things.
What a relief that would be!

“Did Trump do this knowing full well that his supporters would mobilize?”

    I hope that’s the case

    (Please God!)

You’re giving him way too much credit, he’s working with the Chuck and Nancy because he likes and gets along better with them, he’s what you call a liar on the campaign trail just like the rest of them.

The Democrats’ plan is working very well.

You are attacking Trump for something he hasn’t done, but the Democrats SAY he’s going to do.

In other words, you are trusting the word of the Democrats in Congress.

      Do the math, honey.

What I don’t buy is that Trump is some sort of political genius 10 steps ahead of everyone else, what he is is a guy who said he was going to do one thing then does another when elected, just like the rest of the swamp.

I missed it. When did he sign the DREAM Act into law? You’re complaining about an action that has not happened yet. Though, I suppose it saves time. Sort of a preemptive complaint for some future action that may or may not happen.

Sorry I don’t put as much faith in him as you do.

          • September 15, 2017 at 5:30 pm

This isn’t about faith. It’s about reality. You are attacking Trump for something he has not done. *slapping mic* Is this thing on?!

“Or is this all just dumb luck?”

Dumb luck. I do believe that Trump wants full amnesty, and he thought that his supporters would actually swallow his flip-flop [remember his shoot someone on fifth avenue remark?], so the backlash must have come as quite a surprise to him – hence all the hasty backtracking.

Trump, quote, “Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!…..”
