Yesterday, in response to the news that the DOJ is suing the state of California, Governor Jerry Brown said, “This is basically going to war with California, the engine of the American economy.”
First of all, let’s be honest here.
Calling California the “engine of the American economy” is kind of hilarious.
California is the poverty capital of the nation.
So I hate to break it to you, Jerry.
But if California is the engine of the American economy, America’s economy would be up on blocks near a Bay Area tent city surrounded by spent needles and human feces — with a homeless family sleeping inside.
But that’s beside the point.
Let’s discuss his claim that Jeff Sessions and President Trump are “going to war with California.”
As I mentioned yesterday, in 2010, the Obama Administration sued the state of Arizona over SB-1070. And something tells me, Jerry Brown didn’t see that as Obama going to war with Arizona.
But you know Democrats. They always have to paint themselves as victims.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I do believe there is a war on California.
But it isn’t being waged by the Trump Administration.
The war on California is a foreign invasion.
And instead of beating back this invasion, California Democrats like Jerry Brown rolled out the red carpet and welcomed their invaders with open arms.
They gave them drivers licenses, Medicaid, free education, college scholarships, and oodles of other benefits.
And then they protected them from being arrested, detained and deported.
No matter what horrific crimes these invaders commit, or how many casualties pile up, Democrats like Jerry Brown and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf protect them.
Even at the expense of California’s own citizens.
And to add insult to injury, those citizens are the ones funding this invasion.
So yes, Governor Brown. There is a war being waged on California.
But you are one of the Generals waging that war against your own state with the help of this invading army.
