There’s only one poll that matters

only one poll that matters

You know, in my lifetime I have never participated in any election year opinion poll?

I’m fifty-five years old and it’s never happened.

But I don’t care.

The truth is, there’s only one poll that matters. And I have participated in that poll my entire adult life.

Back in October 2016, in a column titled Vote, I wrote:

Ignore the polls. Forget the predictions. Until the rubber meets the road and people – actually living, breathing people – cast their ballot, nobody can determine the outcome.

Because you and I – all of us – are the ones who will determine the outcome.

The goal of the Enslaved Press and opinion polling is to create an air of inevitability around Hillary Clinton. Their hope is to dispirit you – to leave you feeling as if your vote will make no difference.

They want you to give up and stay home in November. Because that’s the only way Hillary Clinton can win.

But they’ve miscalculated. Their ability to sway you into staying home in defeat rests solely in how much voters trust what the Enslaved Press says.

And we don’t trust them anymore.

There is only one poll that matters.

And that is next Tuesday.

Once again, the news media is treating an election as a fait accompli — this time telling us that the Democrats will retake the House.

They’ll cite the NPR/PBS/Marist poll showing the Democrats with a nine point advantage in the generic ballot. A poll, by the way, of 509 likely voters (and a 5.7% margin of error).

Something tells me more than 509 people will be voting next Tuesday.

At least Rassmussen’s last generic congressional poll included 2,500 likely voters. And that poll had the Democrats with a 3 point advantage and a 2 point margin of error.

But this is exactly why I don’t care about opinion polls.

The only poll I care about is next Tuesday.

And every single one of us who is a registered voter can participate in that poll.

Vote like your one vote could sway an election.

Even those of you, like me, who live in a deep blue state, vote like yours is the deciding vote. I know those of you in Democrat-controlled states sometimes feel as if there’s no point in voting. But vote anyway. Maybe if everyone who thinks it doesn’t matter went to the polls on Tuesday, it would matter.

Don’t just vote to “send a message to Democrats.” Vote to send them packing.

Don’t just vote to prove the news media wrong. Vote to make them eat their words.

The corporate news media is invested in dispiriting you. That’s why they tell you the Democrat takeover of the House is a certainty.

They want you thinking, “What’s the point?” Just like they did in 2016.

You think voting doesn’t give you any power? Honey, just imagine all the power you have by voting Republican next Tuesday.

Your vote could make Rachel Maddow cry on the air. Who wouldn’t want to be responsible for that?!

Just imagine the butthurt over on Alyssa Milano’s Twitter feed because you all got out and voted Republican on Tuesday.

Besides, what could be more entertaining than watching the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC looking shell-shocked and gob-smacked the way they were in 2016?

And your turning out on Tuesday and voting Republican will help make that happen.

Isn’t that way more satisfying than taking a call from Marist or Quinnipiac?

This is the poll that matters.

This poll will actually determine whether we keep our economy booming, our borders secure and putting Americans first.

And President Trump is right. Next Tuesday’s poll is choice between Jobs or Mobs.

You have the power to decide in which direction this country will go.

So, as I said to you in October of 2016, VOTE, my friends.

Vote your ass off.

The pollsters are owned by the same leftist creeps who control the MSM. I Don’t listen to them. I don’t watch them, and when I do hear something that comes from there, I don’t believe a word of it.
You are spot on. There’s only one poll that matters, and I’ll be there Tuesday.
