Boy, those Hollywood stars were right about Venezuela. It’s a Socialist paradise!
First you got your empty grocery stores.
Then there are all those people eating their pets.
And now polio!
From the UK Telegraph:
Nearly 30 years after declaring Polio eradicated in Venezuela, the first case of the disease has been reported in the country as it reels from an economic crash crippling its healthcare system.
The case in the eastern state of Delta Amacuro was reported as basic vaccine coverage continued to fall amid the worsening political and economic crisis.
I know what you’re going to say.
Are we certain this is real polio?
For all we know, real polio has never been tried.
Maybe in a true Socialist paradise real polio is … well … UTOPIAN!!!!!
Listen, all kidding aside, this is what happens on Planet Earth when idiots give socialism a whirl.
People starve, the money becomes worthless, and diseases long eradicated make a comeback.
And not just polio.
Again from the UK Telegraph:
The news comes as the country faces an increase in other diseases, some also formerly eradicated, such as diphtheria, tuberculosis, measles, and malaria.
According to this report, Socialist paradise Venezuela also accounted for 85% of all measles cases reported in Latin American and the Caribbean.
Now, I have friends in Venezuela – though they won’t be there long. Fortunately, they are in a position to relocate to Spain.
But what of those who can’t?
While Nicolas Maduro waddles around well-fed and happy, his people are sick and starving.
This is “Real Socialism.”
And the so-called “Real Socialism” promoted by the American Left is nothing but a fantasy.
