You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting much over the last few days. The perils of having Lupus.
Between PatriotRetort.com being down for maintenance last Saturday and this Lupus flare that hounded me over the week, I needed a little cheering up.
And then this morning, I saw this on Twitter.
— Joy Villa (@Joy_Villa) August 26, 2017
Yup. Joy Villa tweeted out the post I did in July about her latest song “Make America Great Again.”
And let me tell you, that made my whole Saturday!
In fact, it made me feel so much better, I actually went outside and mowed the lawn!
Okay, you’re probably wondering what mowing the lawn has to do with being cheered up. But trust me. It totally makes sense.
Lupus beats me down sometimes. And it’s hard enough trying to do ordinary everyday things. But becoming emotionally dispirited on top of it only makes those ordinary things – like mowing the lawn – even harder to do.
Seeing that Joy Villa tweeted out that post gave me just the emotional shot in the arm I needed to tackle the mowing.
Sure, I had to stop five times to rest. And something that ordinarily takes fifteen minutes took nearly an hour. But I did it!
Truth is, sometimes it’s the little things that inspire us, motivate us, and keep us from growing discouraged.
And starting my Saturday knowing Joy Villa shared a post from PatriotRetort.com worked wonders.
So, thanks, Joy!
You made my Saturday!
