It looks like Parkland “activist teen” Wesley Crusher has taken a page out of James Comey’s book when it comes to Twitter.
And what book would that be?
Like Comey, Wesley uses his Twitter account like a “Quotable Quotes for Dummies.”

This one is my favorite.
"Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, What's in it for me?"
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) March 1, 2018
Talk about lacking in self-awareness – much like James Comey.
And, as Charles C. W. Cooke pointed out on Twitter today, Wesley’s liberal use of quotations tend to be wildly out of context. [Hat tip Twitchy]
"Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder." – George Washington

Which is to say that he’s implying that people who disagree with him-and openly form free associations in order to do so-are akin to bought-off double-agents in wartime. So, pretty much what you’d expect given his rhetoric.

Quoting others is the refuge of a shallow mind – especially when you use quotes without taking into consideration the context.
But when you speak from the heart, there is no need to let someone else do the talking.
That’s the benefit of having deeply-held principles or beliefs — not to mention a well-rounded education.
One doesn’t need to scour “Brainy Quotes” to express oneself.
But then again, when left to his own devices, this is an example of the deep thoughts mined from Wesley’s gray matter:
I'm so happy to live in America, have free school, be sorounded by freedom loving people, peace and opertuinity. Just wanted to say that.
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) August 17, 2017
If that’s the best you can do, you’d be culling quotation books for something profound too.
At least copying and pasting from “Brainy Quotes” reduces the likelihood of spelling errors.
I gotta say. I’m surprised he still hasn’t deleted that tweet.
Now, according to Big League Politics, it is possible Wesley Crusher isn’t even the one running his Twitter account.
They have a screen capture of a now-deleted tweet that seems to indicate that Mama Crusher, and not her son, is the brains behind the operation.
And, really, it’s hard to argue with their evidence. That now-deleted tweet certainly backs up their claim. Which, come to think of it, might be why it was deleted.
I don’t know. It’s possible Mama Crusher is helping Wesley out. But having scrolled through his Twitter feed, I am left with the distinct impression its contents spring from an immature mind.
Though, given the fact that she’s a Leftist, that may not necessarily rule his mother out.
After all, James Comey likes tweeting out quotable quotes. And he’s not an immature teenager – at least chronologically speaking.
Whatever the case, Wesley Crusher isn’t the smart, articulate phenom they’ve tried to convince us he is.
And his ubiquity is backfiring spectacularly.
As Breitbart reported yesterday, NRA memberships have surged in the last several weeks.
And I would lay the credit for that directly at Wesley Crusher’s feet.
In fact, considering CNN hasn’t had him on in over a week, I’m beginning to suspect that even they are starting to rethink shoving this kid into the spotlight.
I could have told you that would happen.
Come to think of it, I did just that over a week ago.
Let me close with this:
“The wise of heart receive commands, but a babbling fool will be ruined.” – Proverbs 10:8
