Whattaya know? Democrats don’t like voter fraud after all.

voter fraud

Hang on to your hats, folks. Because I have a news story for you that will make your head spin like a top.

Believe it or not, I actually found an example of Democrats getting angry over voter fraud.

Honest!

A few weeks ago I told you about the unfolding drama here in Central New York between local Democrat officials and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

See, the DCCC decided to plow over local Democrats and push a far-Left progressive candidate to run in November.

I told you all about it in my column The Return of NY’s Little Climber: Juanita Perez Williams.

But I’ll give you a little recap.

See, the local Democrat Party in NY-24 selected SU professor Dana Balter to challenge Republican Congressman John Katko in November.

But the DCCC decided to stick its Nosy Parker nose into this district and push failed Syracuse mayoral candidate Juanita Perez Williams instead.

All Williams had to do was gather 1,250 signatures on petitions to force a Democrat primary in June.

Well, Juanita succeeded.

She and her people garnered more than 3,200 signatures.

But there’s a teeny problem.

Those petitions include a boatload of invalid signatures.

Shocker, I know — a Democrat committing fraud. Who’da thunk it?!

But here’s the twist.

A member of the Onondaga County Democratic Committee is the one accusing Perez Williams of fraud.

About a week or so ago, Diane Dwire filed a complaint with the state Board of Elections claiming that 2,400 of those signatures are from people who aren’t registered Democrats, or aren’t registered in the district at all.

When my brother told me about this, I quickly looked up the story at Syracuse.com.

Then I texted him back saying, “Well, what do you know? Democrats actually do care about voter fraud — when it is used against them.”

And today, Syracuse.com reported that so far the Board of Elections found that 1,884 of those signatures were fraudulent.

Now, that leaves Perez Williams with 1,393 valid signatures – more than enough to get her name on a primary ballot.

But the local Democrats aren’t done trying to force her off.

From today’s Syracuse.com story:

Diane Dwire, of Camillus, who is leading the petition challenge, said she is confident that Balter supporters will be able prove that an additional 150 signatures on Perez Williams’ petitions are invalid, disqualifying her from the ballot.

A hearing is scheduled Tuesday in Albany where representatives from both camps will be able to argue their case in front of a bipartisan panel of state elections officials.

The panel will make a recommendation to the state Board of Elections, which can choose to accept or reject the findings at its full board meeting on Thursday, said John Conklin, an agency spokesman.

Dwire said she and her colleagues have already proven that about 57 percent of the petition signatures collected by Perez Williams’ campaign were not valid.

In many cases, those who signed the petitions were not registered to vote as Democrats or listed incorrect addresses, Dwire said. Other petitions were invalidated because the canvassers who collected the signatures were not registered to vote in New York.

I know what you’re thinking.

Who knew Democrats were capable of getting this upset over voter fraud?!

After all, for years they’ve been telling us it simply doesn’t exist.

As I told my brother, I don’t doubt for a minute that these petitions are jammed with people not in this district, not registered and not Democrat.

Let’s be honest, Democrats lie. They cheat. And they try to steal elections.

It’s what they do.

But what makes this all manner of entertaining is this is voter fraud by Democrats directed at Democrats.

What can I say? I love watching Democrats eat their own.

So just how slimy and underhanded is the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee? Well, look no further than NY-24 where they’re even willing to commit voter fraud against their own party.

I seriously think that we’re going to suffer a popcorn shortage long before we get to November.

Voter fraud on a petition is one thing.

Voter fraud in the voting booth is quite another.

The democrats will not allow any questions of legitimacy in the ballot box come November.

After all, they do have their standards of cheating to uphold; especially when it comes to republicans.
