A first for Dianny

A first for Dianny-01

Senator Ted Cruz will be here in Central New York this afternoon and I am looking forward to having the chance to see him. And it’s a first for Dianny. I have never had the opportunity to see a presidential candidate in person — let alone the presidential candidate whom I support.

Ordinarily, by the time New York’s primary rolls around, the nominee is certain so nobody bothers to come here and campaign for our votes.

I have to admit, I like the fact that New York’s primary is now as crucial as Iowa or South Carolina. In previous primary seasons, I felt like we were an afterthought. I’m guessing California voters feel much the same way. I mean, when’s the last time the California or New York Republican Primaries mattered this much?

To me, the fact that the nomination has not been sewn up as yet is exciting. Stressful, sure, but exciting nonetheless.

I’ll give you a full report later today.

If you live in Central New York and want to come: Cruz will be appearing at Driver’s Village in Cicero at 2:00 pm today.

UPDATE: According to Syracuse.com, Cruz’s Driver’s Village event time has changed to 3:30 pm. Make the necessary adjustments…
