Ah, the Irony

How’s this for Irony?

Just yesterday, Brian Stelter, Oliver Darcy and the rest of the cast of CNN were clutching their pearls and bemoaning the hiring of Sarah Huckabee Sanders at Fox News.

She’s a liar who lies!!!! And liars don’t belong on cable news!!!!!

And then, this morning, CNN’s Oliver Darcy proudly shared this nugget of news.

Some news: CNN announces Andrew McCabe has been signed as a contributor.

Ah, the irony.

So, if I understand this correctly: Andrew McCabe was fired from the FBI for lying to Congress.  He was too damn dishonest corrupt for the very corrupted FBI.

But he’s not too dishonest and corrupt for CNN.

This much irony should come with a warning label.

“We interrupt our sanctimonious high dudgeon about Spicer dancing & Sarah getting a TV gig to bring you the following news about a powerful govt official recently terminated for repeatedly lying under oath…

…now back to your regularly-scheduled lectures about Truth & Norms.”

McCabe blames Trump and sues the DOJ then two weeks later he’s hired by the station dedicating full segments to complain about Spicer hired to dance on TV.

But what makes the irony even more, well, ironic is the chyron from yesterday’s segment on Sarah Sanders and Sean Spicer.

Credibility Issues?

Says the cable news network that just hired a guy with some serious credibility issues.

Of course, all of CNN has “credibility issues,” doesn’t it?

See what I mean?  Ironic.

CNN’s business model is blazingly obvious:

Hate Trump and you’re hired even if we have ignore your lack of credibility — or “lack of candor” as the case may be.

This is how that venal ambulance-chaser Michael Avenatti got so much airtime.

It also explains why Scaramucci and Omarosa are now regular fixtures at CNN.

Their hatred for Donald Trump torched CNN’s credibility long ago.

Andrew McCabe will fit right in.
