Andrew Cuomo will need some ointment for this burn

Andrew Cuomo

It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who finds Governor Andrew Cuomo insufferable.

But usually, when I find a New Yorker who shares my disdain of our embarrassing “chief executive,” he or she tends to be an upstate resident like me.

So you can imagine my delight in reading the New York Post editorial from last night titled Andrew Cuomo’s ‘undocumented’ imagination.

Now, just some background.

Once again, Cuomo declared that he is an undocumented immigrant. And, “if you want to deport undocumented people, start with me, because I’m an undocumented person.”

Spoiler Alert: No, he isn’t.

This has been Andy’s schtick since before Donald Trump became President.

And, naturally — like Andrew Cuomo himself — it is a load of manure.

And this editorial in the Post is such a royal burn, Andy’s going to need some ointment.

In recent days, the governor — feeling increasing heat from the Democrats’ hard-left wing — has taken to calling himself the “undocumented” son of “poor immigrants.”

As if he didn’t have a valid US passport, Social Security card, New York driver’s license and birth certificate — all things that the truly undocumented lack.

Cuomo was born in New York, as were his parents. But the gov takes an all-inclusive view, claiming anyone who’s not Native American is an immigrant.

That’s not true, of course. While this is a nation peopled by immigrants and their descendants, Cuomo seems to be suggesting that no one can ever truly become an American.

But they don’t just fry him for his ridiculous “undocumented” appropriation.

The Post goes after him for his outrageous claim that Italian immigrants were referred to as “wops” because “WOPS” stands for “Without Papers.”

A lot of people besides Cuomo believe this. But it’s bogus history.

The anti-Italian slur is not an acronym and has nothing to do with Ellis Island, where immigrants didn’t even have to present papers until 1940. The term comes from the southern Italian word “guappo,” meaning a swaggering thug.

Cuomo is not an immigrant and he’s not undocumented — except in his own mind. (“Swaggering thug”? Hmm …) Moreover, his immigrant grandparents came here legally, unlike today’s undocumenteds.

Can you believe this clown thinks he’s Presidential material?

Now, I get why Cuomo is scrambling to join the “I’m part of your identity group too”-style pandering.

He is facing a primary challenge from a far-Left Democrat Socialist Lesbian actress.

So, Andrew Cuomo is trying to “out-identity-group” her on all fronts.

Not just by claiming to be “undocumented,” but also, as I pointed out the other day, he also like to pretend he’s Muslim, black, gay and a woman “seeking to control her body.”

Honestly, there is nothing more cringeworthy than watching a wealthy, privileged, powerful white man try so hard to paint himself as a victim.

And I have no earthly idea why this imbecile thinks this makes him look like a stand-out leader.

The Post closes this excellent burn with this:

So add him to the list, along with Elizabeth Warren and Rachel Dolezal, of people trying to reimagine themselves with invented details to gain some spurious victim-class credentials.

But words do matter. And the last thing New Yorkers need is their politically over-ambitious governor deliberately spouting historical nonsense to reinvent himself.

Boy, it’s refreshing to know a New York City paper shares the same kind of disdain for this putz that those of us Upstate have.

As enjoyable as it is to read a royal burn like this, it still not enough to convince me that Cuomo will lose in November.

Believe me, I wish it was.

But sadly, the gullible dummies who buy Cuomo’s ludicrous posturing still outnumber the people who’ve wised up to it.

I heard a news report about Emperor Cuomo when he declared himself an undocumented immigrant and I swear I heard the reporter refer to him as ‘Governor of Manhattan” and I just think that is so accurate to be honest. With his pedigree he is the:
    Governor of Manhattan.

The man grew up in relative luxury and with his name automatic recognition. Like most wealthy democrats, he has never worked to meet a payroll in his life and probably has never done any meaningful labor. He is a pampered autocrat that reminds me of Louis XVI who lived a life completely removed from his citizenry.

I don’t know. Cynthia Nixon at least worked for a living. Maybe all the Sex And The City -New York fans will band together and knock out Mr. Big.
Not sure that’d be an improvement, though.
Any more Cuomos that we don’t know about?

Let him keep talking. Let the left continue to go bat guano crazy leading into Novembers
midterm election. If your enemies are digging a hole, toss them some shovels!

Stupid question but-didn’t “Native” Americans immigrate across the Alaskan land mass before the formation of the Bering Strait? Seems to me I studied something about that in history way back when. If so, “Native” Americans ain’t.

No, apparently the “Native Americans” simply sprang up from the Earth…or so we are supposed to believe.

I think we should take him up on his demand to be deported.

It’s not only up-staters who despise Prince Andrew. I’ve been fighting a losing battle against that entitled pond scum since since Carl Paladino swung and missed with his Louisville slugger. Unfortunately, down here in the southern part of the People’s Republic of NY, the takers WAY outnumber the makers and phonies like Cuomo can always easily buy the parasites off with their Liberal give aways.
