Beating the masculinity out of men

The other day, Campus Reform reported that Duke University is recruiting male students for a 9-week program that seeks to beat the masculinity clean out of them.

Okay, that’s not how they put it. But that’s pretty much what it is.

They claim the program is to “destabilize masculine privilege” and “interrogate masculinity” – whatever the hell that means.

See, they believe there are “healthy alternatives” to masculinity – as if masculinity is bad for you.

Like trans-fat or smoking.

From Campus Reform:

Over the course of the nine-week program, men will participate in weekly discussion groups conducted through an “intersectional feminist lens,” with the hope of helping male students learn an “intersectional understanding of masculinity” and creating “spaces to destabilize masculine privilege.”
 
Organizers warn that the program isn’t for the faint of heart, explaining that the discussion groups will make men feel “vulnerable” and “will be challenging,” and should thus be “taken seriously.”

And once the guys finish up the program, they will be unleashed on the campus to try and proselytize other men about “toxic masculinity.”

At this rate, Duke will need to change its name.

Because there’s nothing more toxically masculine than the name “Duke.”

Remember when feminists would whine that being a woman shouldn’t be a pre-existing condition?

Apparently, they believe being male is.

Last night on CNN, Fox Sports Radio personality Clay Travis committed the unpardonable sin of being a male.

In a discussion about the racist remarks of ESPN hostette Jamele Hill, Travis said, “I’m a First Amendment absolutist, and believe in two things completely – the First Amendment and boobs.”

When I heard about this, I laughed.

It’s just the thing a sports guy would say.

But the always uptight Brooke Baldwin was not amused.

She shut down the segment in horror and then took to Twitter to express her utter dismay.

That was… I just… it was one of those thought bubbles "did he actually say that on MY SHOW?!" Note to men — that is never okay. #smh

Oh, take the stick out, honey.

I don’t know which is worse – feminists trying to beat the masculinity out of men.

Or that feminism has beaten the sense of humor out of women.

But Baldwin is a bit of a hypocrite if you ask me.

Check out this screen capture from the segment.

Notice that the visibly shocked Brooke makes the most of her own décolletage.

Clearly Brooke knows that CNN’s male viewers like to get a peek at cleavage. Otherwise, she’d be wearing a loose-fitting turtleneck.

Or a burka.

The reason Leftists are howling like wounded beagles over Clay Travis saying “boobs” is because men aren’t permitted to act like men, think like men, or in any way resemble men.

It certainly isn’t because CNN has a reputation for being far too high brow for that kind of talk.

For all their “we’re living A Handmaid’s Tale” carping, the truth is, feminists are the ones striving for a bizarre dystopian reality where men are nothing but subservient eunuchs and women the domineering, humorless shrews who control them.

And in this dystopian world, this is the female’s ideal man.

But no matter how hard they try, feminists cannot change human nature.

As I pointed out back in May, a Florida State University study found that women prefer manly men.

But honestly? I don’t need a university study to noodle that out.

It’s just a fact of life.

And we are hardwired to find masculine men attractive.

Just as men are hardwired to find boobs and butts attractive.

I’ve said countless times that the Left really does believe that they can change human nature.

So, just like the geniuses at Duke University, they believe that all it takes is to beat the masculinity out of men by shaming them for being masculine.

Well, it isn’t going to work.

Because masculinity, unlike a swooping, effeminate hairstyle, is innate in the nature of men.

It is what makes men, well men.

So why this need to beat the masculinity out of them?

Well, if I had to guess, I’d say it’s because modern-day feminists know that they really aren’t equal to men.

They are effectively admitting that given to our own nature, men and women are fundamentally different.

So the only way to “level the playing field” is to cut men off at the … well … knees.

Are there guys at Duke who will happily oblige these humorless harridans and sign up for this 9-week program?

Of course there are.

But more than likely they’ll sign up thinking it will please their feminist overlords enough that as a reward for their subservience, they’ll get laid.

Because hey, at the end of the day, men will always be men.
