Bernie is a stingy old bastard

Bernie is a stingy old bastard

Bernie Sanders can’t wait to sink his money-grubbing fingers into your wallets.  But when it comes to practicing what he preaches, Bernie is as stingy as they come.

According to the Washington Post, Bernie campaign workers are demanding a $15/hr minimum wage.  And the stingy old bastard is balking.

Of course he is.

From the Post:

Shakir [Bernie’s campaign manager] said that it would be damaging to the campaign’s budget to implement a pay hike after expanding field staff based on previously planned salary figures. In conclusion, he said, he would negotiate the matter only through the channels established by the union arrangement.

Oh, I see.  Bernie wants to force every business to pay $15/hr whether it damages their budget or not. But he won’t his campaign workers $15/hr because “it would be too damaging to the campaign’s budget.”

Isn’t that a kick in the head?

If only Bernie could apply that same thinking to American businesses.

But of course he doesn’t.

Okay, Bernie I won’t call you crazy.  I’ll just stick with stingy.

That’s the thing about socialism.

You never ever have to practice what you preach.

If anyone needs to see what happens when employers are forced to pay a minimum wage they can’t afford, look no further than the campaign of the guy eager to force employers to pay a minimum wage they can’t afford.

It’s so easy to be generous with other people’s money, even a stingy old bastard like Bernie can do it.

Just don’t expect him to put his own money where his bellowing mouth is.

If Bernie’s campaign cannot afford to pay its workers $15 an hour how on earth can he expect any business to do the same?

    Typical liberal double think.

If you have been paying enough attention to the clown show that is the democrat primary contest you will have learned that sound bites are the manna that elections are built upon. Each and every candidate is trying to out ‘quip’ each other. It makes no difference if the words make any sense in any way. They just have to sound good and make a good headline and media hype.

None of it matters in the long run. If elected the sound bite library will be buried and then off to the races with the socialist agenda. Doesn’t matter if it bankrupts the nation. Power Power Power…..that’s what the democrats want. The power to make YOU DO what they want.

The favorite thing is taxes. You will pay more. That is embedded in every candidates DNA on the dems side.

It is not somebody else’s money is why. if it was the taxpayers money he would have been doling it out already.

The other part of this slap in the face is that Bernie’s reps will only talk through the channels set up with the union. You know, the union, the people who Bernie and others regulate. The organization that Bernie and others decide whether or not they can force people to be in the union. Bernie and the others who decide how much the union can charge and what the union can do with the dues. Bernie and the others who get kickbacks, er, donations from the unions.

Yah, the union, not the aggrieved employees.

It won’t happen. It won’t get passed in the Senate.
It’s not the government’s job to dictate wages. They should make taxes lower and less regulations so companies have the money to give raises and expand the company.
Also, a minimum wage job is a starting job for young people with no skills or work experience. A minimum wage job should not be your career goal.

Most of us just have standards, but Bernie is one of those elites among us who has “double” standards. Like, WOW!
