Boycotting the Georgia Run-Off is a tremendously bad idea

Boycotting the Georgia Run-Off is a tremendously bad idea

One of the problems with acting out of emotion is it often leads to making aggressively stupid decisions. And this push to boycott the Georgia run-off election is a prime example of that. It is a tremendously bad idea fueled by anger and frustration.

And it will not end the way you think it will.

I’ve spent the last few years discussing what I call Operation Backfire. In short, in an effort to get what you want, you push too hard and too far, and in the end your plans blow up in your face like a trick cigar.

Every example of Operation Backfire that I’ve written about has come from the Left.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off election is the first Operation Backfire I’ve seen embraced by some on the Right.

And it is an Operation Backfire of the thermonuclear variety.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off will not teach them a lesson. It won’t put the fear of God into Georgia’s Republican-led government.

It will, however, hand the Senate to the Democrats and punish the entire nation.

In other words, it will backfire on the whole country in a big, BIG way.

Now, I think a lot of this “Boycott the Georgia Run-Off” garbage is being pushed on social media by Left-funded groups who long for a Democrat Senate — including the prats from the Lincoln Project.

The problem is, there are people on the Right who have glommed onto this idiotic idea as well.

So rather than “staking the Republic to Romney, Sasse and Collins ….LOL,” this idiot is willing to put the fate of the Republic in the hands of Chuck Schumer.

Are you kidding me?

And he’s not the only one.

You have the attorney Lin Wood who is theoretically fighting voter fraud in support of Donald Trump telling Georgia Republicans at a press conference yesterday to skip the run-off.

Sidney Powell also chimed in at the same press conference encouraging “all Georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all unless your vote is secure.”

This is unbelievably reckless, shortsighted and stupid.

And you wonder why I’m skeptical of those two. This is why I’m skeptical. The bigger the platform they receive, the further and harder they push. And it is going to backfire.

said a couple weeks ago that every movement gathers grifters like barnacles on the hull of a ship. Trump supporters have donated money to both Powell and Wood. Lots and lots of money. And this is the message they send to voters – sit out the run-off?

This isn’t just cutting off your nose to spite your face; this is pointing a gun at your nose, pulling the trigger and blowing the back of your head all over the wall.

I know I have readers from Georgia. Guys, please, don’t listen to these fools. I’m begging you. For the sake of the nation we all love, I’m begging you to vote for Loeffler and Purdue on January 5th.

Boycotting the Georgia run-off isn’t going to punish the RINOs; it’s going to punish every one of us. We’ll lose the country. Handing the Senate to the Democrats will open the floodgates to the radical, anti-American Left. The filibuster will end and any hope of preserving the Republic will be lost.

There are other ways to pressure Georgia’s legislature and governor to bolster election security — ways that don’t destroy the entire country in the process.

So please, for the sake of the nation, for the preservation of the Republic, don’t use the Georgia run-off as a bargaining chip.

It will backfire. Not just on the Senate, but on the entire country as well.

There ARE other ways, like sending in the watchers with armed police details and when, like we saw in philly (don’t deserve the respect of a capital) blocking and tampering, they get arrested for their crimes!!!

I’m sure the police will be ordered to stand down.

I wonder what the articles would say when the turnout for the Republicans in the Georgia Senate run-off is high, but then overnight, there is 1 million found ballots for the Democrats and that gives them the election?

We’ll be voting as soon as early voting starts (in case of snow or ice on election day). We are so grateful to be in a free state and wish to keep the whole country that way.

Hopefully I will not be the only Georgian to comment, nor be the only one to say some pretty un~lady like things. I am a Georgian by birth… educated beyond as far as I cared to be at that time. Mama was soooo mean, making me go to school EVERYDAY for 12 loooonng years. (the alternative wasn’t wished upon even our worst enemy!).
Which brings me to the reason behind saying that; You can call me all kinds of nasty names but the worst thing you can do to me or my family, is look down your own snotty nose at me; consider me nothing but a rube; an uneducated, UNPATRIOTIC AMERICAN rube! There is not one, count ’em.. NOT ONE bottom feeding, ambulance chasing lawyer in my entire (either drafted or signed on for Military duty to our Country) family! If we need legal advice, we ASK for it. Until then, Wood/Powell, please do not ASS~U~ME that you can tell this ‘rube’ in Georgia how I should or shouldn’t vote.
I saw the irony of RE~VOTING on the same rigged machines as many of us have. And yes, we do now know WHO/WHAT our Gov and SoS is, so thinking that our pleadings aren’t falling on deaf ears is just pure dreaming. Only a paper ballot cast AT the polls will assure us, but after all the ??+ ??, can’t really trust that!

I think it was the editor emeritus of the Washington Times, Wesley Pruden who dubbed the GOP the Stupid Party. Never more true sad to say.

If I can hold my nose and vote for the buffoon Lindsay Graham, GA residents can handle getting out and voting for the Chicken and the Tart.

A concern on the horizon if Georgia doesn’t go red – a repeal off 22nd amendment and obama will weasel himself back into the picture even more so, perhaps president for life now that his party is so adept at cheating with impunity.
