De Blasio sees his shadow and drops like a dead groundhog

Noted groundhog (and city) slayer, Bill de Blasio has officially dropped out of the 2020 race.

Yup, his dreams of the White House are deader than that groundhog.

I wonder if the poll showing him at zero percent in New York City had anything to do with it.

If you can’t even get your own city – the very city you supposedly lead – to muster up even one percent support for your campaign, I’m thinking the writing is on the wall.

New Yorkers dropped de Blasio like a groundhog.

What I can’t noodle out is why those idiots elected him for another term.

Frankly I’m surprised de Blasio waited so long to drop out.

More people go to watch the great Groundhog Day unveiling than were going to see him on the campaign trail.

De Blasio announced the end to his campaign this morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.  Because of course he did.

There was no way he’d hold a public event to make that announcement what with the likelihood people would turn up holding “Worse Mayor Ever” signs.

“I feel like I’ve contributed all I can to this primary election,” Mayor Zero Percent told Morning Joe. “And it’s clearly not my time so I’m going to end my presidential campaign.”

Earth to Bill: It will never be your time.

That dead groundhog has a better chance of springing back to life than you do.

Good riddance, you lumbering clown.

Mr. De Blase’ was re-elected because, sad to say, NYC is full of pathetic liberals who care not for their own city.
Fear not! There is a replacement waiting in the wings…prepare yourself for “Mayor Occasio-Cortez!!
