So the Storm of the Century that was bearing down on NYC was a no-show.
Well, to be fair, it wasn’t a no-show.
It showed all right.
It just didn’t show up in Manhattan.
Instead, it turned up right here in Central New York.
That was as far as my Lupus-ridden body could shovel this morning.
All I have is a shovel and a teeny electric snowblower. Unfortunately this snow is too deep for the snowblower.
And to make matters worse, my neighbor’s son – who always parks on the street in front of my house – pulled his snow-covered car forward and proceeded to dump all the snow right smack in front of my driveway.
The pile from his car is over three feet deep and about 6 feet in diameter.
I’m hoping the plow truck eventually makes it to my street. So far, in the last 36 hours of snowfall, it’s been a no-show.
Kind of like the blizzard of New York City.
It’s days like this that I am very thankful I work from home.
