Dear NYC: I found your missing snow

So the Storm of the Century that was bearing down on NYC was a no-show.

Well, to be fair, it wasn’t a no-show.

It showed all right.

It just didn’t show up in Manhattan.

Instead, it turned up right here in Central New York.

You’re welcome.

That was as far as my Lupus-ridden body could shovel this morning.

All I have is a shovel and a teeny electric snowblower. Unfortunately this snow is too deep for the snowblower.

And to make matters worse, my neighbor’s son – who always parks on the street in front of my house – pulled his snow-covered car forward and proceeded to dump all the snow right smack in front of my driveway.

The pile from his car is over three feet deep and about 6 feet in diameter.

I’m hoping the plow truck eventually makes it to my street. So far, in the last 36 hours of snowfall, it’s been a no-show.

Kind of like the blizzard of New York City.

It’s days like this that I am very thankful I work from home.

As far as the lamestream media gets involved, it’s pretty much all about them…if it snows on them…catastrophic snowfall. If it doesn’t, not news.

Up here by Lake Ontario I’ve got chest high drifts to chip through. Glad I work from home too!
