A Democrat and a Socialist win Indiana
“A Democrat and a Socialist win Indiana.” Sounds like the start of a bad joke, doesn’t it? Only I’m not laughing.
Goal #15 of the 45 Goals of Communism:
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
Well, looks like Mission Accomplished. The Fundamental Transformation kicked into high gear by Obama has now apparently bled into the Republican Party.
Each presidential election year the Republican Party does its level best to destroy any conservative candidate and force on the electorate an unpalatable moderate. Hey, at least they’re consistent.
To see the trajectory of the Republican Party over the last couple decades, it seems clear to me that holding my nose and voting for moderates is what is expected if I wanted to be a Republican.
Moderate Republicans are one thing. A flat-out Democrat is quite another.
Let’s be honest here. The choices in November will be a Democrat, a Democrat or a third party candidate. And if the Libertarians select Gary Johnson instead of Austin Petersen, it’ll be a Democrat, a Democrat or a Democrat.
I am grateful to Ted Cruz for fighting the good fight for conservative principles, our Constitution and Liberty. I am certain he will continue to fight in the Senate. It’s a shame we won’t be getting more conservatives join him in the Senate in 2016. Trump voters overwhelmingly selected establishment/Mitch McConnell-backed Senate candidate Todd Young to be the Republican on the ballot in November over solid conservative Marlin Stutzman.
I guess the anti-establishment fervor Trump voters pride themselves in stops at the top of the ticket.
I wish I could say I am surprised by this turn of events. I’m not.
The truth is, the Left has been pushing this nation further away from our Constitution and our representative republican system toward centralized, big Government Liberalism for a century. I have never been so naïve as to believe that the Republican Party would be immune to their influence.
Goal #15 is all but completed for the Democrat Party. How else do you explain an avowed Socialist who honeymooned in the Soviet Union winning a state like Indiana? Meanwhile, Goal #15 has come pretty damn close to being complete on the Republican side as well where, for the first time in its history, the GOP has chosen a Democrat to be its standard-bearer in November.
But, no, I’m not surprised.
For me, this has never been solely about Ted Cruz. Yes, I supported Cruz. But it wasn’t about him. For me this fight has been and will always be about restoring this Republic, beating back the Left and securing the rights and liberties of the American People. Ted Cruz was merely a vehicle. The end, the goal for me has always been the return of small, republican government rooted in our Constitution.
So while I may be disappointed that Senator Cruz has suspended his campaign, what is upsetting to me is without a Constitutional Conservative in the race, what will it mean for the future of this nation?
For over three years now as I have watched my economic situation worsen, I have held out hope that we could begin to turn this around in 2016. That maybe, maybe we had a chance to drag this sinking economy back from the brink, unleash our free market and create an environment where jobs grow, wealth is created, and private sector businesses are freed from the stranglehold put on them by the Federal Government.
But that glimmer of hope I had has been snuffed out. Our choices in November are a far Left Big Government Democrat or a Liberal New York Big Government Democrat. Neither wants to reduce the size of government. Neither plans on doing a damn thing to rein in the pending collapse from our unfunded entitlements. Both plan to raise taxes on an already over-burdened citizenry. Both plan to grant legal status to millions of illegal aliens.
When it comes to a burgeoning free market, there is nothing more destructive than Big Government Democrats, but that is all we will have on the ballot, unless of course Austin Petersen, and not Gary Johnson, is the Libertarian candidate.
With Trump now the certain nominee for the Republican Party, I think we can expect the Enslaved Press to shift quickly into attack mode. The explosive stories they’ve been keeping a lid on for the last nine months will begin to emerge. They won’t wait until the Republican convention to launch their offensive. They’ll want to get a jump on it because nothing will squelch any remaining enthusiasm on the Republican side quite like crippling the presumptive nominee before he even has a chance to give his rambling convention speech.
And trust me on this one. Nobody is happier than the DNC that Trump is now the presumptive Republican nominee. This gives them plenty of time to establish a Plan B if Hillary Clinton can’t change the polling trajectory before the conventions. I won’t be a bit surprised when, if things look grim for Hillary prior to the convention, Attorney General gives the go-ahead to indict her for no other reason than to get her to drop out so they can parachute in a fresh, exciting alternative to nominate in her place.
Joe Herring wrote a similar theory at American Thinker.
Here is my reasoning: realizing that the evidence against her could rise to the level of treason, Secretary Clinton has struck a bargain with the Obama White House that in return for bowing out at or near the convention, she will receive a full pardon in order to ensure that she will never see the inside of a prison cell.
She takes the slings and arrows, exhausting the opposition research budgets of Republican campaigns, leaving V.P. Biden and Sen. Warren largely immune from scrutiny during these long months of primaries and caucuses.
By the time she begs off the nomination, citing medical issues, the Republicans will have barely three months to investigate and counter the actual nominees, Biden and Warren.
Those among the electorate who are itching to make history with a female president will believe themselves to be doing precisely that by voting for a Biden/Warren ticket, albeit with a four-year “on-the-job training” period.
Don’t think the Democrats would do it?
Well, if you don’t, it’s because you’re a Republican and are used to being a member of a party that doesn’t play the long game. For the Left, they never give up, they never settle, they never surrender. We Republicans aren’t used to that because our party always folds like a cheap deck chair.
The Left has already succeeded in completely devouring the Democrat Party. Now, after systematic abuse and decades of wearing us down, they’ve seriously crippled the GOP.
All that remains is the coup de grâce to the head and it’s all over for the Republicans as well.
I don’t know if Donald Trump is that coup de grâce or not. Perhaps he’s just the penultimate strike to sufficiently soften us up for the killing blow.

And why do I get the feeling that FOX will join them?
“And why do I get the feeling that FOX will join them?”
Because we ain’t stupid?!
The democrats have been consistent about running the most liberal candidate possible., so Hillary! doesn’t surprise me.
Neither would Biden or Elizabeth “Fauxahontess” Warren.
But Trump from the republican party?
The Rockefeller arm of the party I can understand going for Trump, but too many so called conservatives have drank the kool aid that I wonder if it isn’t a case of mass hysteria.
I never thought I would see conservatives backing a liberal NYC crony capitalist over a constitutional conservative.
I have never voted for a liberal and I ain’t gonna start now.
Sad times for the Republic.
