Does nobody at the New York Times read the New York Times?

Does nobody at the New York Times read the New York Times?

The New York Times really blew the lid off of Donald Trump’s business failures from thirty years ago.

Yup.  This is BREAKING news, people!!

Yesterday, the New York Times published a piece that has the DC/NYC media bubble all a-quiver:

Decade in the Red: Trump Tax Figures Show Over $1 Billion in Business Losses

Thirty years ago Donald Trump lost money in the real estate market!!!!

But here’s the part that confuses me.

In 1995 there was an article titled Crowning the Comeback King that chronicled Donald Trump’s disastrous deals and miraculous comeback.  It included this quote:

“After the collapse of the real estate market of the 1980’s, Mr. Trump’s company was left holding some $8.8 billion in debt, causing his personal net worth to drop to a low of about $1 billion in the red by 1991.”

Guess which paper published Crowning the Comeback King?

Yup!  It was the New York Times.

Does nobody at the New York Times even read the New York Times?

I mean just how much of a failing paper is it when even its own staff doesn’t read it?

So, just to recap.  Somebody went to the trouble to break the law and leak President Trump’s old tax information to the New York Times to give the New York Times information the New York Times wrote about in 1995.

That’s some crack journalism right there.

The leftists in the media loved Trump until he ran for president with an R behind his name.

EVERYTHING is about politics with the left.

Hillaryous! Great point but of course they know! They know that their minions and subscribers won’t remember!

Successful large-scale real estate investors, developers and others who buy, own, and sell real estate probably consult with real estate-centric accounting firms. One would hope that tax returns prepared by such CPAs would pass annual scrutiny of the IRS for complete compliance with current laws. If not, there might be severe monetary penalties or even prison for some tax code offenders.

Maybe the “voluntary custom” of making one’s tax returns public should be challenged by President Trump — and indeed other politicians in America.

I have heard very little concern about the publication of a private citizen’s tax information. Should we not be concerned that someone not only has access, but is willing to leak this data?

I don’t know where you’ve been, but I’ve been hearing that quite a lot.

Likely anyone who read that article just assumed the entire page was lies, anyway! It’s the NYT!
