Donald blunders into the bathroom

Somebody needs to find the OFF switch on Donald Trump’s mouth.

This guy is like a wrecking ball for Liberty.

Appearing this morning on the “Today” show, Donald once again decided to give his uninformed opinion about something he clearly hasn’t taken the time to think through. This time, Donald weighed in on North Carolina’s law protecting the rights of businesses to prevent “transgenders” from using the wrong public bathroom.

“There have been very few complaints the way it is.” Donald opined “People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate.”

But here’s the problem, Don. A wee, teeny tiny minority of people are demanding that every business with public bathrooms must, must let them use the bathroom “they feel is appropriate.”

Shouldn’t a “very successful businessman” defend the rights of a business owner to make decisions about his own facilities?

Donald also said that he would let Caitlyn Jenner use any bathroom he wanted at Trump Tower.

That’s all well and good, Donald. That’s your choice as the owner of that building. Shouldn’t other business owners have the right to make the same decision as you to choose whom they want peeing in the girl’s lav? North Carolina and other states want to protect the freedom of other business owners who may not agree with you when it comes to their facilities.

It’s called “Liberty” and “Individual Sovereignty,” genius. It’s called getting government the hell out of our businesses.

I thought you agreed with that.

This transgender bathroom issue is about coercion versus liberty. This is about local and state governments wanting to force private businesses to comply with the demands of a tiny minority of people with psychological problems — to forcibly require that private businesses play into the delusions of some very deeply troubled individuals.

Let me ask you something, Donald. If pedophiles or other perverts decide they want to use “the bathroom that they feel is appropriate,” would you have a problem with that? That’s the problem the University of Toronto had when they opened all public bathrooms to people regardless of gender.

What Donald fails to grasp (no surprises here) is that this isn’t just about bathrooms. The problem with the Left is once they forcefully get their foot in the door (or stall as the case may be), they won’t be satisfied with just that. They never stop pushing. They never stop in their quest to systematically dismantle religious liberty, individual sovereignty, the rights of those with whom they disagree.

The objective here is not to “use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate.” The objective is to coerce the rest of the country to comply with their demands — no matter what they are. The objective is to eradicate religious liberty from a nation founded on religious liberty. The objective is to transform a nation of sovereign individuals into compliant, obedient sheep.

The reason the Left has gotten away with doing so much damage to our Judeo-Christian culture and the very foundations of our society is because nudniks like Donald Trump just blithely poo-pooed the things they were doing. So many people weren’t willing to stand up and say, “STOP!”

And apparently, that includes Donald J. Trump.

I’m not surprised that Donald blundered into the bathroom issue. I’m also not surprised that he decided to come down on the wrong side of it.

When you really do not understand the importance of Liberty and Individual Sovereignty, missing the big picture is understandable.

What does surprise me is the guy who has based his entire campaign on standing up to “political correctness” dove head-first into the deep end of the PC Pool without a moment’s hesitation.

Maybe he reckons he has the nomination in the bag so he is letting his true feelings out of the closet, …err …aah, bag.

Amen, girl! Though it may be too late, maybe this will be something that actually makes some of his supporters stop, and think. (I know; a very slim chance. But hope springs eternal.)
