Fair Game

The DNC is issuing warnings to Donald Trump that he better tread lightly in his plan to go after Bill Clinton.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on Meet the Press yesterday morning and issued a strong warning [hat tip Breitbart].

“I think that Donald Trump or any candidate on the other side of the aisle would raise Bill Clinton as somehow a negative to their peril. I think every poll I’ve ever seen shows that if President Clinton were a candidate tomorrow he’d be reelected. He presided at that time over the longest period of prosperity, sustained up to that point, finished his term very popular —and continues to be one of the most admired elected officials and former elected officials and men in the world.”

Oh, come on, Debs. Way to overstate Billy’s popularity.

The issue here isn’t Bill Clinton or even his Presidency; the issue is his wife who is currently running for President of the United States while casting herself in the role of Champion for Women.

Hillary Clinton is whitewashing history once again.

She is making strong, decisive statements about standing up for victims of sexual assault when her primary role in the Clinton Machine was to aid and abet the character assassination of every women Bill Clinton victimized.

The truth is, Hillary is the one who is permitting this line of attack. She is the one who opened the door.

Not Trump.

Hillary.

By portraying herself as some Mother Teresa to poor, victimized women, Hillary’s past record is fair game.

The whole sorry tale of Bill and Hillary Clinton is not a story of love and commitment. It is a story of opportunistic climbing. Every single thing that has happened for Hillary Clinton happened because she hitched her wagon to Bill. And her own naked ambition was why she not only turned a blind eye to her husband’s vile and criminal behavior, but helped to cover it up.

Not only cover it up, but destroy the lives and reputations of the women who were his accusers.

This is the real Hillary Clinton.

She isn’t some maverick five-star general in the War for Women’s Rights.

The plight of women mean nothing to this wretched climber.

When sexual assault hit closest to home for Hillary, she came squarely down on the side of the abuser.

Fair Game

And as much as Debbie Downer wants to complain, that is fair game.

I have no doubt that the reason Debbie Wasserman Schultz is cautioning Donald Trump or ” any candidate on the other side of the aisle” against bringing up Hillary’s complicit involvement in Bill’s less-than-stellar behavior toward women is because the DNC knows this is one of the many Achilles heels Hillary has.

Trump is correct that Hillary is a hypocrite when she points the finger at Trump and accuses him of being “anti-woman.”

For all his faults, Donald Trump does not have the reputation of sexual harassment and sexual assault Hillary’s husband has.

And it isn’t Trump or ” any candidate on the other side of the aisle” who are making this an issue. It’s Hillary. She opened the door. You can’t fault Trump or anyone else for stepping through it.

If you need a little reminder of who Hillary Clinton is, take the time to watch the movie by Citizens United made in 2008 (the very film that the Clinton Machine had banned forcing the case to go clear up to the Supreme Court).

I can recall what a fabulous President Bill Clinton was. He passed NAFTA and jobs in the US started disappearing faster than the leaves on trees in the fall. He passed the ban on assault rifles (I call them defense rifles). He called out the military 63 times and was successful one time and that was in Waco, Texas where they killed Americans. And he redefined oral sex as not being sex, or at least he tried to.

Bill is popular, but Bill isn’t running. His presence may well be a reminder of the Character-Assassin-in-Chief who was in charge of quashing “bimbo eruptions”. Trust me. That does not bespeak well of Hillary as a champion of women’s rights.
