Ghouls Demand Action

Ghouls Demand Action

If you think the anti-NRA group Moms Demand Action cares about children, I can see why you would get that idea.  After all, it has the word “Moms” in its name.

It would be easy to assume that Moms would deeply care about kids.  That’s what Moms do.  They nurture you, take care of you, kiss your boo-boos and hold you when you’re sad.

Why do you think Moms Demand Action chose the word “Moms” for its name?  The Michael Bloomberg-funded organization wants you to believe it is deeply caring and nurturing.  You know, just like Moms!

But last night, I think Bloomberg might want to rebrand to Ghouls Demand Action.

These ladies are vultures – poised and at the ready to hector, lecture, politicize and shame any time there is a shooting.

Okay, not anytime there is a shooting.

I don’t believe Moms Demand Action has much of a presence in Chicago or Baltimore.

At last night’s political rally disguised as a “vigil,” the anti-NRA group exploited the death of Kendrick Castillo – the 18-year-old student from STEM Highlands Ranch – who was murdered while attempting to stop two homicidal monsters from killing his classmates.

Like vultures that descend to pick at a corpse, these ghouls exploited the grief and trauma of children to advance their political agenda.

It’s obscene the way these people abuse the grief of others.

But it’s what they do.

Your lives and your deaths are political fodder.

Sure, they try to disguise it as caring. After all, they’re MOMS!!!

But if they really cared, they’d leave the politicking at the door.

Fortunately, the students from STEM let these ghouls and vultures know exactly how they felt about this flagrant exploitation.

They walked out.

The Left always pushes too hard and too far.  It’s their default setting.

And given that anti-gun groups target grieving children and their parents, pushing too hard and far isn’t just unseemly or absurd; it’s downright opportunistic – not to mention ghoulish.

But don’t expect the political operatives of Moms Demand Action (or March for Our Lives or any Democrat in Congress for that matter) to dial it down.

Doing so requires empathy. It requires basic human decency.

And among these ghouls, empathy and decency are both in short supply.

Tacky political move. And as I understand it, neither of the shooters could legally purchase a gun, yet they had them. So no amount of gun control laws would have prevented it.

I saw one comparison of gun regulations to drunk driving: because some people drive drunk and kill others, nobody should have a car.

Excuse a slight off-topic comment? Several mornings ago, on a walk, I looked up in the old dead tree, and it looked just like the top photo, except there were twice that many vultures, and they were backlit by the rising sun. Classic spooky. We see them a lot, never so close, roosting. One by one, giving me the ol’ hairy eyeball, they swooped up and away. I was glad they didn’t go all Hitchcock on me.

Every time these kooks start yelling about gun control, I go buy a new gun.
I’m running out of room. 🙂

I watched the original video of the students walking out on Tucker Carlson’s show. One of the kids interviewed likened the two Colorado Legislators pushing gun control to ambulance chasers, though I think to be one you need a law degree first.

My own pet nickname for Moms Demand Action has always been Moms Demand Victims though. It made me feel hopeful that these kids reject the premise of gun control as being the answer.
