President Trump officially kicked off his 2020 Campaign with an immense rally in Orlando last night. And the Democrat candidates and their handmaids in the media were sputtering with apoplectic rage.
But of course they were.
The enormous crowd was fired up, excited, happy and ready for 2020. And President Trump brought down the house.
Maybe it was her blind rage over the sheer enthusiasm of the crowd that made Goose Egg Gillibrand lose control of what I’m sure she thought was going to be a great insult.
Or maybe she’s just dumb. Either way. Kirsten’s attempt to out-Trump the Master Insulter kind of backfired when she accidentally implied he is Superman.
Just a reminder:— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) June 19, 2019
Donald Trump is a coward.
He is a misogynist.
He has torn apart the moral fabric of this country.
And I believe his kryptonite is a strong woman who can’t be silenced. pic.twitter.com/yFw8oLpOQY
His kryptonite, huh?
So you’re saying Trump is Superman— Dianny ??(@DiannyRants) June 19, 2019
Now, I’m sure Kirsten didn’t mean to say Trump is Superman. That’s why she included these idiotic insults like “coward,” “misogynist,” and blah-blah-moral-fabric-blah.
However, if Trump has his kryptonite, he must be Superman.
And if Superman Trump’s kryptonite is “a strong woman who can’t be silenced,” who exactly is Kirsten Gillibrand campaigning for here?
Is she campaigning for President Superman?
Or is she campaigning for some unnamed “strong woman who can’t be silenced?”
Given what she wrote, Kirsten doesn’t seem to be campaigning for herself.
I don’t know. Seems to me if strong women are Superman Trump’s kryptonite, it isn’t having the desired effect on him. The guy is surrounded by strong women — women who refuse to be cowed into silence by the hateful news media or crumble into a heap when they are badgered, slandered and vilified by the Democrats.
It’s easy for Kirsten Gillibrand to pretend to be a strong woman.
Nobody is hounding her day and night and hurling at her every horrible invective ever made.
Do you think Kirsten could stand up to the relentless attacks and ugly rhetoric flung at Ivanka Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Sanders, or any of the women who work in the Trump Administration?
Of course not.
If she had to endure even one day of getting dragged like a rag doll by the media, Kirsten Gillibrand would be in the fetal position in a corner somewhere whining about what a victim she is.
Do you think Kirsten would act “brave” if she got hectored and chased out of a restaurant by an angry mob?
The misogynistic bile spewed at Republican women by the very people Kirsten hopes vote for her would curl her hair.
It’s immensely easy to pretend you’re brave and strong when absolutely nobody is gunning for you and 80% of the country couldn’t pick you out of a lineup.
In fact, the one and only time President Trump paid her any mind on Twitter, Kirsten howled like a wounded poodle.
You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office. https://t.co/UbQZqubXZv— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) December 12, 2017
Oh, sure. Trump is trying to silence you. You’re a victim.
Now, name-calling on Twitter might make Kirsten feel “brave.” But the fact is, name-calling only works if there is some truth in it.
For example: “Lightweight Senator.”
If President Trump was actually a coward, why would he give the news media that hates him so much press availability? Even the reporters who despise him admit that President Trump, unlike Obama, isn’t afraid to face off with them.
President Trump stands up to the media. He stands up to North Korea, China, Mexico, Russia, Iran. And he isn’t afraid to pressure our NATO allies who have been taking advantage of the American people for decades.
Could you imagine “brave” Kirsten having to withstand the non-stop onslaught of attacks and smears from the media and Hollywood that President Trump has endured?
Come on, Kirsten. Trump’s a coward?
Fact is, given the 24/7/365 barrage of attacks Donald Trump has withstood for the last four years, calling him a coward has absolutely no grounding in reality.
It’s far easier for me to believe Trump is Superman than believe he’s a coward.
But reality aside (and since we’re talking about a Democrat, we have to put reality aside), Kirsten’s flailing ad hominem attack would have been way more effective if only she hadn’t accidentally implied that President Trump is Superman.
Let’s be honest. It kind of took the sting out of her childish “pay attention to me!!” attacks, wouldn’t you say?
