Grannie Dearest
According to Edward Klein in an article in the New York Post, campaign staffers are worried that Hillary Clinton is on the verge of a total meltdown.
Is Grannie Dearest hanging on to some semblance of calm by only a thread?
“Hillary’s been having screaming, child-like tantrums that have left staff members in tears and unable to work,” says a campaign aide. “She thought the nomination was hers for the asking, but her mounting problems have been getting to her and she’s become shrill and, at times, even violent.”
See, staffers believe her plummeting poll numbers are uncapping all that trademark Hillary anger and they fear she’s heading toward an inevitable, very public eruption.
She’s like Mount Vesuvius and her hapless staff the poor benighted people of Pompeii.
Klein, the author of the new book Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary, points out in this brief article that her staff has been trying to redirect her bottomless pit of outrage away from them and the press and toward the Republicans.
This explains why the campaign is risking everything by letting Angry Hillary out of the bottle so early in the campaign (something I voiced concern about just this past week).
It looks as if they have little choice. Either they unleash Grannie Dearest in a controlled burn or they risk her ruining everything by all that bubbling rage coming out at the wrong place and wrong time.
Maybe it’s me, but I think I’d pay money to see that happen.
