They hate Melania because they didn’t create Melania

Wow. I just realized that headline sounds like something Jesse Jackson would say.

Any old how.

The other day I shared the White House video of Melania unveiling the Christmas decorations.

And they’re breathtakingly beautiful — as was Melania.

But not according to the hateful Leftists in the media.

I’m not going to share what they said. Though Silvio Canto, Jr. at American Thinker dives into it a bit.

Someone somewhere (for the life of me I can’t remember where) mentioned that it was odd that the magazines weren’t plastering Melania Trump on the covers the way they did Michelle Obama.

But it isn’t odd to me.

See, for eight years the news and entertainment media acted as the Obamas’ personal PR firm.

All the hype, all the gooey buzz over Michelle and Barack was manufactured by them.

They created the Obamas.

But they didn’t create the Trumps.

And that right there is why the media hate Melania so much.

They’re not responsible for her – they didn’t create her.

But the image of Michelle Obama – the beautiful fashion icon and modern-day Jackie Kennedy — that was a media creation from beginning to end.

And in order to try and convince us to believe them and not our lying eyes, they pushed Michelle on us relentlessly.

There wasn’t a single day from 2009 until 2016 where Michelle’s overly-airbrushed face didn’t sneer out at us from a magazine cover.

It got to the point where even her more hideous ensembles were greeted with breathless praise.

Who can forget when the UK Daily Mail gushed over this train wreck of a gown?

I wrote about it in a post titled “Melania Dodged a Bullet.”

What in Lucifer’s reach is she wearing?!
 
I’m sorry, folks. But that is one ugly-ass dress.
 
If the designer who concocted that particular ensemble doesn’t want to dress Melania, all I can say is, GOOD.
 
What is it with Michelle dressing like a sofa in a brothel anyway?
 
Is she clothed by fashion designers or an employee from a furniture factory?
 
Of course the writer at the Daily Mail was très impressed with the upholstery-wearing First Lady:
“Michelle wore a stunning black gown to the event that glittered with green leaves and pink flowers to the event.” [Yes, I’m quoting it directly. I guess they don’t have proofreaders at the Daily Mail]
 
Stunning?
 
Only in the sense of “I’m stunned she left the house wearing that get-up.”

It was the media’s mission in life to tell us, “Don’t believe your lying eyes, Michelle is a fashion icon!”

And if that wasn’t bad enough, they quivered like a spastic colon every time Michelle dreamt up yet another reason to keep herself in the spotlight.

Remember in 2013 when Michelle launched an initiative to get people to drink water?

She was on every morning show as if she just discovered a cure for cancer.

I wrote about it back in September 2013 in my column “The Enslaved Press: Water Carriers for the Queen” (which is now in my second volume of columns RANT 2.0: Even More Politics & Snark in the Age of Obama):

So, Michelle, getting her “pay attention to me fix” for the autumn months is going on a scolding tour, and in her typical harridan style, will be hectoring Americans to drink water.
 
You know, because, the bottled water industry can’t sell a drop.
 
If I had a dollar for every person I saw holding a Poland Spring, Aquafina, or Smart Water bottle, I could live like my last name was Obama.
 
Drink water.
 
Who’da thunk it?!
 
Of course, Michelle unveiled her next in a series of “do as I say, not as I do” programs on NBC’s Today Show, where she explained and demonstrated to the ignorant masses just what water is and how one drinks it.
 
According to the Washington Post, Michelle’s latest lecture carpet-bombing “will be nearly inescapable.”
 
Thank God for the word “nearly.”

The media morphed into over-indulgent stage moms when it came to Barack and Michelle.

And they had to be.

They were the ones creating the myth that surrounded the Obamas for eight years.

Back to my September 2013 column:

In a nation with over ninety million people no longer in the labor force, Michelle Obama’s no good, very bad life doesn’t play.
 
That’s where the Enslaved Press come in.
 
They have been carrying this woman’s water for years.
 
She’s so glamorous!
 
She’s so beautiful!
 
Why she’s the second coming of Jackie Kennedy, except without the refinement, class and a staff of one.
 
Oh, her arms!
 
Oh, her garden!
 
Why, she’s so beautiful and stylish she makes Beyonce look like Flip Wilson in a dress.
 
And now, Michelle is pounding on the Enslaved Press’ door once again for her monthly attention fix. Right on schedule. In fact, she is so regular in her monthly visits, instead of calling her Mo, I’m thinking of calling her Aunt Flo.

Left to their own devices without this boost from the media, Michelle and Barack never would have become the so-called “celebrity icons” they are today.

The Obamas owe everything to the media.

For eight miserable years they worked overtime to try and convince us that Michelle Obama was something other than a miserable, angry, wretched woman with a sense of entitlement as big as all outdoors.

If Michelle Obama was naturally all those wonderful things they claimed she was, the media wouldn’t have had to work so hard to convince us.

But Melania Trump doesn’t need the media telling us endlessly how elegant, fashionable, gracious, beautiful and charming she is.

Because she’s all those things – effortlessly.

And don’t underestimate just how much the media resents the fact that we can see for ourselves just how lovely Melania is.

Just like President Trump, Melania goes clean over their heads directly to the American people.

And that pisses them off like you wouldn’t believe.

Like Rush Limbaugh has said countless times about Donald Trump, when the media doesn’t create you, they can’t destroy you.

And that my friends is exactly why they hate Melania Trump.

They have no power over her.

She owes them nothing.

And it galls them.

It eats away at them like a cancer.

    Michelle was no beauty and her fashion sense was certainly questionable. She had quite an entourage of people tending to her every need. About the only place the federal budget has been cut is in FLOTUS support. Looking at these pictures it is obvious why.

    Melania is in a class by herself. She is stunning, lovely, gorgeous, stately and she is a lady of the first class. Notice she doesn’t adorn herself with gobs and gobs of bling like Chewbacca did. She IS the most beautiful First Lady ever. With Chewbacca, she always wanted to be the center of attention (“Look at me!!!”). So glad that ghetto trash is out of our house.

    I’m thrilled Melania has taken an understated role as First Lady—no bottled water or school lunch crusades to shove an unelected opinion/mandate down the throats of the masses.
