You know, for folks who love to call themselves “progressive,” Democrats really are throwbacks.

I’ve said before, Government is where hippies go to die.

Bernie Sanders is stuck in the 1960s. And Democrat women all seem to think it’s the 1970s.

Yesterday, the UK Daily Mail had an article about how the women in the upper echelons of the DNC are rigging the process to ensure Hillary Clinton the nomination.

Speaking on the condition that she isn’t identified, she told Daily Mail Online that the party is in the tank for Clinton, and the women who run the organization decided it ‘early on.’

The committeewoman is supporting one of Hillary’s rivals for the Democratic nomination, and said she spoke freely because she believes the former Secretary of State is benefiting from unfair favoritism inside the party.

Clinton aims to be the first female to occupy the Oval Office, and ‘the party’s female leaders really want to make a woman the next president,’ the committeewoman said, rattling off a list of the women who she said are the ‘real power’ in the organization.

‘I haven’t heard anyone say we should make Hillary undergo a trial by fire,’ she added. ‘To the contrary, the women in charge seem eager, more and more, to have her skate into the general [election].’

‘I have nothing against women in politics,’ she underscored. ‘But it’s not healthy for the party if we get behind a woman because she’s a woman, and risk having her implode after she’s nominated because she isn’t tested enough now.’

They are women; hear them roar.

Meanwhile, yesterday, Reuters reported that retiring Senator Barbara Boxer (no doubt hoping for a cabinet appointment in a Clinton Administration) has told Vice President Joe Biden to not only stay out of the race, but throw his support behind Hillary.

Said Babs, “I just don’t think there’s a rationale for his campaign. I think he should endorse Hillary and go out that way.”

Woman power, baby!

Apparently these Democrat women don’t believe Hillary can win the nomination on her own merit, and therefore feel they need to artificially elevate her over her male opponents. Or keep her male opponents out of the race entirely.

And this from a gaggle of hens who cackle endlessly about “equality.”

What does it say about the DNC that they don’t think Hillary can win it on her own? Do they really believe that Hillary is such a dreadful candidate that the only way she can win is with their fingers on the scales?

If this is the way these gals are going to behave when Hillary is facing fellow Democrats, how will they conduct themselves when the former Miss Rodham has to face a Republican opponent who isn’t going to accommodate her gender simply because the shrieking harpies from the DNC demand it?

My guess is, they’ll go full-on Steinem. And frankly, the thought of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz burning her bra gives me a queasy, oogie feeling in my tummy.

For all the talk about the supposed civil war within the Republican Party, it is the Democrat Party that is really coming apart at the seams.

Not surprising. It is the Democrats who have spent the last eight years dividing and subdividing the American people by gender, race, class, religion. Did they think they’d be immune?

It shouldn’t come as a shock to anybody that the Republican Presidential field is so diverse. The only place where the Republican Party exists as an old, white, rich party is in the fevered minds of Democrats. We don’t seek to divide people, rather we seek to unite everyone as Americans. Where the Democrats see identity groups, we see individuals.

And when you live by identity groups, you die by identity groups.

And the Democrat Party is dying.

Carly Fiorina isn’t in the top tier of Republican candidates because she’s a woman and the RNC needs to prop her up. She got their on her own. And she will succeed or fail on her own merit.

The same can’t be said for Hillary.

Think of it this way. If Carly Fiorina were being investigated by the FBI and faced charges of violating the Espionage Act, would she be a top tier candidate?

No.

The chicks are propping Hillary up.

Opposition is being strong-armed out of the way. It is precisely why the DNC has limited the number of debates. The more debates there are, the greater the opportunity for Hillary to shoot herself in the face.

Problem is, everybody knows the DNC is trying to fix this fight. Hillary’s opponents and their supporters are not going gently into that good night. They’re fighting back.

And if I know Democrat women, that’s going to make them all manner of bitchy and shrill.
