How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Appeasement

Megyn Kelly had Brit Hume on her show last night to discuss Obama’s claim that we are winning against ISIS.

It’s a pretty eye-opening few minutes.

Brit Hume: “Well, we’re certainly not winning, and if you’re engaged in a long war, as Winston Churchill’s experience illustrates, you can go a long time before you start to win. The question is, does this president have the kind of commitment that the leaders in World War II had, which is based upon the premise, that this is a war that had to be won. That this was an enemy that had to be defeated, because the survival of our civilization as we know it was at stake. I don’t think this president has that view of the world as he sees it today. Certainly not in the Middle East. I think he thinks that what ISIS is up to in the Middle East is basically a regional threat.

I think Hume is on to something here. Obama does not view this as an attack on civilization. He’s said so much when he repeatedly made the claim that this is not a war of two civilizations.

Either Obama does not believe ISIS threatens our civilization, or, he doesn’t care that Western Civilization is being threatened.

Sometimes I have a tough time figuring out which one it is.

We look upon the horrific, barbaric acts of these Islamic savages and are horrified.

Obama looks at them and says it’s sectarian violence by a JV team.

As The Gateway Pundit pointed out today, in Mosul, ISIS burned alive an 80 year old Christian woman for not obeying Sharia.

An eighty year old woman.

Whether ISIS is a direct threat to the US Homeland or not — and I would contend that they are a direct threat — they are most emphatically a danger to our civilization.

Any President made of human parts would not stand for this. He would not just choose to do pin-prick air strikes and then go to bed and sleep like a baby.

But he isn’t made of human parts.

He’s like Dr. Strangelove. Cold, heartless.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Surrender

Hume continued:

And he’s doing what he’s doing in a sort of limited way, because he thinks he has to for political reasons, but I don’t think he’s doing it because he thinks that ISIS must be defeated for the safety and security of the United States. I don’t think he believes that, I don’t think he believes what Vladimir Putin has been up to in the Ukraine and perhaps elsewhere, is a direct threat to the United States. And I think that he feels that yes we need to do something to answer China’s moves in that part of the world, but nothing that urgent. And so, his heart is not in doing these things. And the result is, we are fighting a kind of a halfhearted tentative war in the Middle East and elsewhere.

When Megyn Kelly points out that it is Obama’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and other military advisors who are urging the US do more, and does Obama think they’re all wrong, Hume answers,

He doesn’t want to say he thinks they’re wrong. But his actions speak volumes. And his actions are basically ones to restrain the use of American power in the world — especially and above all military power. And I think he believes that if we apply our force in the most, you know, forceful way, if you will, that we’re in danger of doing more harm than good. I mean. You know, we read now that the, that the targeting against ISIS has been limited for fear of civilian casualties even into the headquarters town in Syria of ISIS. Because, you know, we’re not gonna hit the headquarters, there may be civilians there. And he’s worried about, you know, the alienating effect of the application of American power. And I think he thinks that that will, in the end, cause more harm than good. And we’ll be worse off because of it.

This is what happens when a man with absolutely zero military experience, zero respect for the United States military becomes Commander-in-Chief.

This is what happens when a bubble-headed academic peacenik who hasn’t matured beyond the “War is not the Answer” bumper-sticker-mindset becomes Commander-in-Chief.

There are civilian casualties every single day that the barbarians of ISIS are permitted to suck down oxygen. They are brutally murdering civilians every day.

And they will continue to do so as long as Barack Obama wrings his hands over the possibility of the US military killing civilians. Rather than eradicate the world of these vile cockroaches he does nothing to stop the slaughter of the very civilians he doesn’t wish to harm.

In his quest to spare their lives, he is standing aside while their lives are taken.

And, frankly, he’s okay with that.

While he and his wretched wife never tire of whining incessantly about how hard their lives have been, the real suffering and brutal deaths of real people mean nothing to them.

He’s okay with ISIS turning the sands of the Middle East red with the blood of thousands upon thousands of innocents.

He can sleep at night.

He can golf during the day.

Because it doesn’t affect him.

He still lives in a mansion, is waited on hand and foot, flies in a private jumbo jet, vacations at the finest, toniest places.

The victims of ISIS, the people being beheaded, burned alive, crucified, raped, slaughtered and conquered have nothing to do with him.

And in the end, that’s all that matters to a self-gratifying, self-absorbed narcissist like Barack Obama.

I think Obama is intentionally aiding ISIS. He’s one of them.
