Huma knows she’s in trouble

Huma Abedin and Pervy Weiner have decided not to get divorced.

But I doubt it’s some storybook “stand by your man” kinda thing.

No. It’s more practical than that.

If I had to guess, I’d say Huma knows that she’s in some legal trouble.

And the best way to neutralize any cooperation on the part of her pervy husband is to remain married.

Spousal privilege and all that.

Hell, even Page Six thinks that’s the case.

Identical statements from their lawyers Wednesday cited the scandal-plagued couple’s desire to protect their 6-year-old son by settling outside court — but experts say the real reason could be to shield one another from a potential federal probe.

It isn’t hard to connect the dots.

Just last week we learned that Huma was transferring classified documents to Weiner’s laptop.

And within days the divorce case is “discontinued?”

Please. They’re not even trying to hide what they’re doing.

It’s classic Clintonian defense strategy.

Now, I guess I can’t blame Huma. After all, with pervy Anthony in jail, the Feds definitely have some leverage to get him to cooperate.

One thing’s for sure. It is quite impressive just how much Huma has learned from her mentor Hillary Clinton, isn’t it?

But staying married isn’t going to keep Huma from being criminally charged. And I can’t help but wonder if the reason they quickly dropped their divorce is because she knows that’s about to happen.
