In the Twitter Arena, Donald Trump is the Champion

Twitter knock-out

Today I got yet another reminder of why I love President Trump’s Twitter feed.

Now, I confess. In the beginning of the 2016 primaries, I wasn’t fond of Donald Trump.

But after he had the nomination locked up, I had two choices. I could join the grumpy NeverTrumpers. Or I could behave like an adult and give Donald Trump a chance to win my vote.

There was no way in hell I would ever vote for Hillary Clinton. And I didn’t want my vote for Donald Trump to be just another “hold your nose and vote for him” type vote.

You know, the way I voted for McCain and Romney.

So I began to watch his campaign rallies and speeches. And of course I started to follow him on Twitter.

By the time the Republican Convention rolled around, I was firmly on the Trump Train.

And a lot of that had to do with his tweets.

After years of politicians burping out talking points and carefully vetted empty statements, there’s something really refreshing about a man who doesn’t pull his punches.

And on Twitter, Donald Trump always comes out swinging.

Like this morning.

James Comey’s book is getting oodles of fawning, breathless attention in the news media.

And in two tweets, President Trump wiped the floor with media darling Comey:

“Untruthful slime ball.”

Hahahahaha!!! That’s priceless!

I love the fact that we have a President who acts like every other American citizen.

Presidents are just like you and I – at least that was the idea originally.

“Citizen executive” — that’s how George Washington described the President.

He isn’t better than you and I — or more noble than we are. And he certainly isn’t above us.

Not at all. The President is supposed to be one of us.

That’s exactly what we get with Donald Trump.

And you know why the news media clutches their pearls and “well-I-nevers” over tweets like these?

Because they want to control the narrative surrounding Donald Trump. And he doesn’t let them.

Instead, President Trump goes clean over their heads and he speaks directly to us.

And he does it with candor.

There’s nothing smarmy or fake about Donald Trump. He speaks his mind.

And I don’t know about you, but I find that all kinds of refreshing.

Read those two tweets again.

Is there anything that is untrue?

James Comey is a leaker and a liar.

And President Trump is one hundred percent right that Democrats were shrieking for Comey’s head until Trump fired him.

Hell, I did a post on May 10, 2017 that featured this schizophrenic behavior.

Including these two tweets from John Podesta from the same damn day:

President Trump uses Twitter to strip away the bullshit and get to the heart of the matter.

That’s exactly why the Left and the media (okay same thing) want him to stop tweeting.

They’re used to attacking Republican Presidents who never fight back.

To their thinking, they should be able to lob any accusation, any attack or scurrilous smear without getting any pushback from their target.

But Trump is — and has always been — a fighter.

And Twitter is his arena.

They want Comey’s ridiculous book and his mean-girl snottiness therein to go unchallenged.

But that’s not going to happen — not so long as Donald Trump has Twitter.

And seeing President Trump deliver a knock-out blow to that untruthful slime ball James Comey makes me all kinds of happy.

I have some issues with Trump, some things he does and says makes me worry. But that’s what critical thinkers do: Support your president, but be skeptical. Overall, he’s doing an awesome job and I love his tweets. The more people hate them, the more amused I am! God bless President Trump!

I was a “Lincoln Lovin Democrat” like Ronnie. We were (in my case am) both what Barry called in ’64 “conservatives”. Because I still am a CONSERVARTIVE I could never not for “The Manchurian Candidate” or the Ronnie hating Mitt! Virtually everything that those 2 progressive/leftists have done since their elections has reinforced my votes.

I did vote for Don! I would do so again; in a heartbeat! If for no other reason than how hard 3 Bush boys: Mueller, Rosenstein and the subject of you post. All 3 were appointed by the same leftist/progressive President that I could never vote FOR. In ’ 04 I voted against the Chicken Sh*t, disingenuous,$billionaire coward JFK. At the time I was sure he’d be worse than the liberal GWB. But considering: Comey, Mueller, and Rosenstein – I am having some very serious “second thoughts” on my ’04 vote.

Those 3 sh*t birds added to the fact that the entire Bush Clan said in Oct ’16”VOTE CLINTON!” ! Have given my self doubt. In the case of Mueller; acute self doubt

I think I have figured out how to game your comments routine.

I’m no fan of Chris Wallace but his review of Comey’s book as “He comes across as kind of bitchy” really was on point don’t you think?
