Is Joe Crowley making a play to keep his seat?

Something tells me Bronx Congressman Joe Crowley isn’t going gently into that good night.

After losing to Bolshevik Barbie — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – Crowley seems awfully eager to make a name for himself among the open borders far Left that voted for her.

Speaking on Capitol Hill yesterday, Crowley put out the absurd idea that foreign nationals who crossed into our country illegally should be financially compensated by American taxpayers.

It’s the just the kind of insane fodder that secured a primary win for Bolshevik Barbie, isn’t it?

From the Daily Caller:

“The damage that has been done to these children will be lifelong, to the families units as well and in fact, I suggest they need to be compensated for what this administration did to them,” Crowley stated.

“To have these children ripped apart and separated is one of the most reprehensible things I’ve witnessed in my twenty years of service here in the House of Representatives,” he continued.

How about no, Joe.

The so-called trauma done to these illegal alien children was done by the people who dragged them up from Central America to our border to begin with.

And odd how it didn’t bother him for the eight years of his twenty years of service when Barack Obama was separating families.

Compensated?

Sure. Once we start “compensating” them, more people from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico will decide to make the journey so they can get some “compensating” too.

We are not the world’s ATM, you idiot.

But put aside for a moment the complete insanity of this idea.

Crowley knows it will never happen.

But that isn’t the point of tossing it out there.

Why would this outgoing Congressman decide to jump on the Open Borders bandwagon with such a hairbrained idea?

Well, my theory is this.

Joe Crowley, if you recall, is still on the ballot for November under the Working Families Party.

Which means, folks in that Bronx district could still vote for him in the Midterm election.

Sure, Crowley made a point of saying he isn’t actively campaigning and will unite behind Ocasio-Cortez.

But that was then; this is now.

And over the last few weeks, the crazy nonsense that’s been tumbling out of Ocasio-Cortez’s mouth has begun to irk the Democrats in Congress.

They’re beginning to get concerned that she’s a millstone who could bring the party down.

So what I’m wondering is did Nancy Pelosi and Joe Crowley figure out a way to exploit Crowley’s name being on the ballot?

Are they making a play to subtly keep him in the race in order to cut Bolshevik Barbie off at the knees?

And what better way to present Crowley as an alternative to the socialist “It Girl” than to pander to a largely Hispanic constituency by proposing taxpayer “compensation” for illegal aliens?

I know for a fact that the DCCC Establishment is not above meddling in local Congressional elections. They tried it here in my NY district this summer.

Now maybe immediately after the primary the Establishment Democrats were willing to concede that seat to Ocasio-Cortez.

But in the intervening weeks her implosion is becoming a serious liability to them.

I said the other day that Crowley’s placement on the ballot could be a threat to Bolshevik Barbie.

And I can’t help but get this feeling that Crowley and Pelosi might be up to something to make that threat even greater.

It’s just a feeling.

I have no concrete proof.

But something in my gut makes me wonder if I’m right.
