Jamaal Bowman: Moron or just a big fan of Carl Linnaeus?

I know what you’re thinking: Who the hell is Jamaal Bowman?

And if I wasn’t a Twitter user, I just might ask the same thing. But see, like the rest of the Socialist Squad in Congress, United States Representative Jamaal Bowman lives for Twitter.

Jamaal Bowman uses Twitter to relay this central message: Everything in America is racist and built on White Supremacy.

The filibuster is racist.

The criminal justice system is racist.

Bail is racist.

The War on Drugs is racist.

The healthcare system is racist.

And, of course, standardized testing is racist.

Jamaal Bowman thinks of nothing else but just how systemically racist America is. He’s consumed by it.

Student loan debt, the electoral college, the filibuster, the police – Jamaal Bowman believes everything, absolutely everything in America is in place to “uphold White Supremacy.”

You’d think for a man who believes this nation was built on the notion that some races are superior to others would’ve given a moment’s thought before posting this unbelievably racist cartoon.

Now, according to Jamaal Bowman, a former middle school principal no less, expecting some races to do well on standardized testing is like expecting an elephant or a seal or a goldfish to climb a tree.

I don’t think Jamaal thought this through.

“But teacher. I’m not capable of learning and being tested on long division. You might as well ask a seal to climb a tree!” isn’t exactly the message someone supposedly opposed to racism should be sending.

Either Jamaal Bowman is a complete idiot or he’s a big fan of eighteenth century Swedish taxonomist Carl Linnaeus.

Linneaus believed that humans could be broken down into four “varieties:”

Europeaus albus (European white)
Americanus rubescens (American reddish)
Asiaticus fuscus (Asian tawny)
Africanus niger (African black)

Linneaus described “Europeaus albus” as “gentle, acute, inventive” and “governed by laws.” Whereas he viewed the “Africanus niger” variety of human as “crafty, sly, lazy, cunning, lustful, careless” and “governed by caprice.”

For nearly a century, Linneaus’ work was used to defend the practice of slavery. You can see why. If a scientist says black Africans are just a crafty, sly, lazy, cunning, lustful, careless lot only governed by their sudden changes in mood, why shouldn’t the more “gentle, acute, inventive” white Europeans enslave them?

I’m sure Linneaus would agree that some varieties of humans are not equipped with the traits necessary to master mathematics or language. In fact, expecting them to do so would be tantamount to expecting an elephant to climb a tree.

Or perhaps Jamaal Bowman wanted to find a creative way to tell the world that he crapped out on the Analogies section of the SATs.

Because if “Black Student is to Math as Goldfish is to Climbing a Tree” is an example of Jamaal Bowman’s grasp of analogies, he has zero grasp at all.

Isn’t it odd how “progressives” always aspire to take us backwards?

Colleges are segregating dorms and graduation ceremonies. In the latest monster spending bill, Congress is offering federal assistance to farmers based exclusively on race. Oakland, California is doing the same – providing monthly assistance to the poor of Oakland provided said poor are not white.

And now Jamaal Bowman surpasses them all by taking us all the way back to the eighteenth century view of “varieties” of humans.

Great job, Jamaal!

Again, and I can’t stress this enough, before he became a member of the House of Representatives, Jamaal Bowman was a middle school principal. Get your children out of government-run schools.

If Jamaal Bowman truly believed that standardized testing is unfair, you’d think he would be a strong proponent for School Choice.

But a quick search of his prolific Twitter timeline leads me to suspect he is not.

When you see the world through race-colored glasses, it is impossible not to embrace racism.

In fact, you are likely to take to racism like a fish to water.

With his tweet, the Congressman has made himself the embodiment of an April Fool…and, he was born on 1 April; so there you go.

I have neither the desire nor ability to learn or understand ebonics. Therefore, I’m part of a repressed group. Where are my special privileges and where is my gubment check?

I’ve seen that cartoon before! Dated in style, I’d say it’s between 1920 and 1950 and probably closer to 1950. Of course the elephant could just wrap its trunk around the tree an uproot it. Reminds me of the psychologist who tested someone by presenting a half-glass of water to him. You of course recognize the classic optimist-pessimist bit approached. So the man took the glass, drank it, and said:
    “I’m a problem-solver!”.
Bowman is just a typical congressman, a semi-idiot.
